About the Brand
Sulwhasoo is a Korean beauty brand founded in 1966 with the goal of creating beauty products made from ginseng root. Their mission is to use only time-tested Korean herbal medicine that is clean and kind on the skin.
This led to the development of their philosophy which is based on overall wellness and harmony so that women everywhere can feel confident in their health and beauty. I absolutely love this!
Sulwhasoo products are gentle on all skin types with special emphasis on targeting signs of aging.
Sulwhasoo Review: 6 Best Sulwhasoo Skincare Products
I just had to start with the Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream—it’s such an iconic product and one of their absolute best-sellers. It has such a rich, buttery texture that feels smooth af on my skin.
It’s an anti-aging cream that helps to make your skin look fuller and brighter while reducing unwanted texture. It’s also totally weightless and absorbs really well, hydrating your skin and giving it a slightly lifted look.
This cream uses ginseng peptides to protect your skin from environmental stressors while still leaving it feeling refreshed. I use it both morning and night and have noticed such a difference in my skin texture. 😍
Of course, I couldn’t forget the First Care Activating Serum and had to include it in my Sulwhasoo review. With a special blend of herbs, it addresses six elements of skin concerns (hydration, visible wrinkles, brightness, radiance, translucency, and moisture barrier) to leave your skin feeling youthful and hydrated!
It’s made from their patented JUAM Activator, an herbal blend of solomon’s seal, peony, white lily, rehmannia, and sacred lotus that each targets a different aspect of your skin.
Usually, I find that serums tend to dry out very quickly, but I didn’t have that issue at all with the First Care Activating Serum. My skin felt so smooth and I even noticed that my fine lines were fading!
The Gentle Cleansing Foam is a gel cleanser that does its job of scrubbing dirt, makeup, and grime from your pores while also softening your skin. I especially love foam cleansers because of how gentle they are—it honestly feels like a cloud.
A combination of floral ingredients such as citrus peel and chestnut shell extract come together to brighten your skin. This product is best for normal, combination, and oily skin types, so if that’s what you have, def consider trying this out for yourself.
I’m really big on the way cleansers feel after washing my face since they tend to dry out my skin. With this, I had absolutely no problem at all—it even left my skin feeling better than before and had a super flattering semi-dewy finish.
The Overnight Vitalizing Mask has saved me so many nights. Whenever I’m going through a skincare crisis, this is the product I turn to that leaves me looking SO much better the next morning.
Formulated with jujubee and pomegranate extracts, this sleep mask helps to revitalize your skin’s moisture barrier. It’s able to do this through its creamy texture, which creates a non-sticky layer over your skin, reducing moisture loss while making sure it gets lots of healthy nutrients.
If you have sensitive skin and generally worry about using masks, this product is for you. I’ve never used a more gentle mask before—it doesn’t really cling to your skin but instead rests on top of it and comes off in one piece.
It’s perfect for those little at-home spa days—just slice some cucumbers and you’re set for a luxurious night in! 🤩
I’m such a big fan of the Bloomstay Vitalizing Eye Cream. Not only does it help lighten my dark circles, but it also reduces swelling and smooths out fine lines and wrinkles!
It’s a jelly formula that is rich in antioxidants that protect your skin from environmental pollutants and UV rays. It’s also super lightweight, which makes it perfect to wear on its own or under makeup.
I love that it even comes with an applicator! It has a metal tip that feels so soothing in the mornings. I like to leave it in the fridge throughout the day so that I get the best depuffing effects!
Okay, I’ll be honest, I haven’t tried the Firming Cream yet, but I’ve heard so many people raving about it that I felt I just HAD to mention it. It works to improve your skin’s elasticity, leaving you with a bouncy, youthful complexion.
This cream consists of a complex blend of goji berries, arrowroot, rehmannia glutinosa root extract, lilium candidum bulb extract, licorice root extract, and paeonia albiflora root extract. It may be a mouthful, but these ingredients all help target elasticity and keep your skin moisturized!
It’s gentle on all skin types and visibly firms skin while also keeping it super hydrated. This is definitely going in my cart!
Those were all my favorite Sulwhasoo skincare products. It was super hard narrowing it down to six, so I would really recommend browsing through their website and finding what else might catch your eye. Their sets would also make the perfect gifts!
I hope this Sulwhasoo review helped you to decide what to add next to your skincare regimen! If you decide to try out any of these products, be sure to tag me on Insta @wtfab.
