OSEA Review: 5 Favorite Product Picks

Share this post or pin it for later!

I’ve seen OSEA on clean beauty sites before (like Grove, my fav!) and gave them a try so I could write up an OSEA review for you all!

A girlfriend of mine had told me that she was loving their Ocean Cleansing Milk—her skin was looking amazing so I had to give it a try too.

I wasn’t looking for a new cleanser, but their ocean cleanser and other products were catching my eye.

I bought two products at first, but I loved them so much I had to do a haul.

OSEA has amazing products that are vegan and cruelty-free. I’ll be honest, clean beauty was something that really never used to be on my radar, but it’s become more and more important to me.

If you’re looking to update your skincare routine, keep reading for my OSEA review! I’m super excited to review OSEA and I hope you enjoy!

About OSEA Malibu Skin Care

OSEA is a clean beauty brand that is killing the game. They started back in 1996 and the most amazing thing about them is that they use seaweed.

Seaweed is known to be a powerful ingredient since it holds lots of vitamins and minerals that are super beneficial to the skin. Seaweed is great for anti-aging (the OSEA Anti Aging Sea Serum is something I’m looking forward to trying) making their products perfect if that’s your concern!

Their formulas come from naturally derived ingredients—I’m telling y’all, this stuff works!

I love OSEA’s story as they’re female-founded and family-operated. Jenefer Palmer started it all in her kitchen skin, how crazy is that?

Melisa Palmer who is Co-Founder and CEO shared similar ideas to her mother and grandmother. She had prior e-commerce experience which led this small business into becoming one of the best sustainable clean beauty companies out there.

1. Atmosphere Protection Cream

With the weather changing, my usual moisturizer wasn’t doing it for me. I’ve learned every summer that it happens since my skin gets a little more oily.

I take advantage of this time to test out new moisturizers—I’ll never say no to shopping. I saw their atmosphere protection cream in the store and had to give it a shot.

The product gave a great first impression. I’m not a fan of scents but the subtle one this moisturizer has was quite soothing.

I also really loved how lightweight it felt on my skin—I wouldn’t want to wear something heavy in this heat. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy whatsoever, I loveee this stuff.

I’m hoping this moisturizer would also work great in the winter because I’d hate to remove it from my skincare rotation. Also, I realized my makeup looks soo good whenever I apply this moisturizer under it!

2. Undaria Algae Body Oil

Even though it’s summer, my body has been kind of dry lately. No matter how much lotion I use, it feels like it isn’t enough.

I really like the feeling of the OSEA undaria algae body oil and I’ve slowly seen differences in my skin with it. It’s super moisturizing but doesn’t feel too heavy on the skin.

If you purchase this product, don’t be scared if your girlfriend’s bottle doesn’t look exactly like yours! The color of seaweed varies and not every bottle will be identical.

I like to give the bottle a little mix because some of the seaweed settles down at the bottom. Overall, I highly suggest this body oil and I know it’ll be great for the colder weather.

If you’re a fan of fragrances, this oil has a subtle sweet fragrance that you’ll for sure love!

3. Blemish Balm

Pesky acne is something that I still deal with occasionally. I’ve tried a couple of blemish control products but I’ve found most to be extremely drying on my skin.

This blemish balm changed it all though. I decided to give this one a shot since my usual one is running low and you know I love experimenting.

My skin has been more on the combination side lately with the weather so I’ve been reaching for a spot treatment more often than usual. However, the OSEA blemish balm isn’t a spot treatment.

Although I don’t break out all over my face, I’ve loved using this moisturizer in rotation with OSEA atmosphere protection cream to keep those pesky blemishes away.

If you have acne-prone skin, I’d give this moisturizer a try!

4. Red Algae Mask

I love a good face mask to refresh my skin. This red algae mask has been my favorite so far this summer.

If you’re a fan of face masks that give your skin a little tingle, this is going to be your new favorite without a doubt. This tingly mask minimizes the appearance of pores and is a perfect pick-me-up for your skin if you’re going through some breakouts.

I like to use it once a week at night and follow with my toner of choice and their moisturizer. My skin feels super refreshed after using this—I love it so much.

I like using it at the end of the week so it feels like a nice reset. My skin is ready to face the week ahead of me after using this mask!

5. Salts of the Earth Body Scrub

While I decided to go crazy with their facial products, this has to be one of my favorite body products. I like to incorporate it into my shaving routine for extremely soft skin.

This has to be one of my favorite products in this OSEA review, no joke.

The smell is amazing and I have never felt as smooth as I did after using this body scrub. This paired with their body oil leaves my skin feeling like a dream.

I like using it on my hands whenever I find them feeling a little rough. The jar is big and a little goes such a long way—it’s worth every single penny without a doubt.

I gave a small amount to my friend who suffers from dry skin and she loved it. I feel like it’s impossible to find someone who would dislike it!

6. Dayglow Face Oil

Recently, my favorite face oil got discontinued and I was so heartbroken. Since it’s summer, I was okay with not using one and decided to rely just on moisturizer.

However, I do get my super dry patches on my skin now and then so it makes me miss it. I love this one by OSEA because it feels a bit similar.

My skin feels super smooth when I apply it and it instantly feels hydrating. I love using this to give my face a little massage at the end of the night.

This face oil feels like a serum I owned before. This oil is great for sensitive skin and doesn’t feel like it clogs your pores—what are you waiting for?

OSEA skincare has won a spot in my routine. After falling in love with these products, I’m looking forward to trying more things such as their Seaglow Overnight Serum and their Advanced Protection Cream!

I’m thinking of doing an OSEA review part 2 with an Advanced Protection Cream review or an OSEA Ocean Cleanser review! I hope y’all enjoyed this OSEA Malibu review—will you be giving them a spot in your skincare routine too?
