Finding the perfect everyday signature scent can be so difficult—it can sometimes take years. If you still haven’t found the right scent or you’re looking to explore a new scent, I’ve got you covered in this guide to the top 10 perfume brands.

A lot of these perfume brands have fragrances for women, men, or unisex. Personally, I like to switch up my personal scents every season to mix things up.

So either gift yourself or someone you love a new fragrance from one of these top perfume brands. It’s always the right time to smell nice. 

Top 10 Perfume Brands

1. Maison Margiela 

I’m sure you’ve heard of the Maison Margiela Replica line—it’s their most popular. I’ve been seeing their gorgeous bottles all over Insta. 

If you’re looking for the perfect collection of unisex style fragrances, Maison Margiela is the perfect fit for you. I’m obsessed with their Jazz Club and Bubble Bath scents.

Jazz Club has top notes of Primofiore Lemon, Pink Pepper, and Neroli Oil. The base notes are StyraxResin, Tobacco Leaf Absolute, and Vanilla Bean. 

It’s the perfect scent to wear in the colder months and even share with your partner since it’s a little more masculine smelling. 

Bubble Bath has top notes of Soap Bubbles Accord, Pink Pepper, and Bergamot. The base notes are Coconut, Patchouli, and White Musks.

I love wearing Bubble Bath in the spring and summertime because it has more of a floral and light scent. I highly recommend exploring their other fragrances—they have a wide range to fit every personality. 

If love more than one scent like me, you can shop around and get their toilette spray so you don’t have to commit to a full-size bottle.

2. Yves Saint Laurent

Yves Saint Laurent does it all from their designer handbags to their beauty products to their fragrances. I’ve had my eye on a few perfumes by them—specifically the Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium.

Black Opium is a warm and spicy fragrance with coffee, white flowers, and vanilla. I can picture myself wearing this scent every day or whenever I’m going out to an event—I love how sensual and seductive it smells.

I love their wide selection of fragrances, they carry women’s, men’s, and unisex scents. I also appreciate how aesthetic their packaging is so I can beautifully display them on my vanity.

If you love bold and seductive scents, you’ll love a lot of YSL’s fragrance selection.

3. Tom Ford 

Tom Ford perfumes are another popular option. I’m such a big fan of their famous Lost Cherry women’s parfum spray. 

Lost Cherry is so warm and spicy with notes of Black Cherry, Tonka Bean, and Almond. If you love smelling very sweet, you’ll be just as obsessed with this option.

They also have one of the best men’s fragrance lineups. I would definitely gift one of these to my husband, so I could smell him all day long. 😂.

I also appreciate how minimal their packaging is. It’s not too small and I love the monochromatic look of their bottles.

Their perfumes can get pricey, but they’re definitely worth the investment because they last forever and a little goes a long way.

4. Jo Malone London

How could I not include Jo Malone London—it’s literally one of the most iconic perfume brands. I have tried so many of their fragrances because I love the way they smell so much. 

I love that Jo Malone designed the scents to be layered with each other. So you can either opt to wear it on its own or mix and match it.

A lot of their fragrances are also unisex making it super versatile to wear with your partner. My favorite summertime scent is the Nectarine Blossom and Honey cologne. 

It’s the perfect fruity floral scent with notes of Cassis, Acacia Honey, and Peach. If you don’t love super floral and fruity scents, don’t worry they have a wide variety of musky and warm options too. 

5. Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren fragrances are a classic for me—they were one of the first designer perfume brands that I got for myself. They carry a wide selection of women’s and men’s fragrances. 

I’m a big fan of their Romance collection because everything smells very warm and sensual. I definitely wore my Ralph Lauren Romance perfume on a daily basis.

I also love that their perfumes are a little more affordable than other designer brands. If you’re looking to gift someone, they also carry really cute fragrance gift sets of their top scents.

6. Giorgio Armani

Giorgio Armani is another fashion house that has been killing the fragrance game. They recently launched My Way Eau De Parfum Nacre Edition which has the perfect citrus and floral combo. 

My favorite part is the pearly shimmer that adds a nice glow to your body. The bottle combined with the pink shimmer is so dreamy—it would look so good on a vanity to display.

They also have some classic men’s fragrances like Acqua Di Giò Profondo Lights that smells like Cardamom, Vetiver, Cedarwood, and Patchouli. 

Although they only have a few signature scents, they all smell so good that you can easily incorporate them into your everyday wear.

7. Maison Francis Kurkdjian

Maison Francis Kurkdijan is the ultimate of luxurious fragrances. I’m sure you’ve heard of their top 2 scents before—Baccarat Rouge 540 and Amyris Femme.

I love that their scents are unisex and versatile for any occasion. Their fragrances are on the pricier side, but worth it because it lasts forever. 

Baccarat Rouge 540 is known for smelling Jasmine, saffron, cedarwood, and ambergris. You’ll smell like the perfect combo of amber, floral, and a woody breeze.

Amyris Femme has notes of Lemon tree flower, Californian orange, Jamaican Amyris, Florentine iris, Haitian vetiver, and musky amber. 

Maison Francis Kurkdijan has some of the best classic and timeless scents.

8. Chanel 

Chanel is a cult favorite especially N°5 Eau de Parfum. Nothing beats the elegant and famous design of a Chanel perfume bottle—it’s almost like a piece of home decor.

Recently, I’ve been eyeing the Chanel Coco Mademoiselle because it has a warm and floral smell. It has key notes of Orange, Patchouli, and Turkish Rose. 

You’ll feel so classy and elegant wearing any Chanel fragrance. I think Chanel is one of the best perfumes to gift. 

9. Marc Jacobs

I love Marc Jacobs perfumes because they’re so subtle but last all day long. Marc Jacobs Daisy is such an iconic scent.

I definitely had a phase in my life where I exclusively wore the Daisy perfume. It has the perfect smell of being fruity and floral.

You’ll find keynotes of Strawberry, Violet Leaves, and Jasmine. It’s one of my favorite everyday scents.

They recently came out with new scents to explore like Daisy Skies Eau De Toilette or Daisy Spring Eau de Toilette. I can’t recommend Marc Jacob fragrances enough.

10. Calvin Klein

Last but not least, I had to include Calvin Klein because of its wide range of fragrances to choose from. I’ve been hearing such amazing things about their Eternity line for women and men.

The Eternity women have top notes of Freesia, Mandarin, and Sage. The base notes are Sandalwood, Patchouli, and Amber.

It’s the perfect everyday scent for a modern minimalist. You can enjoy smelling like romance. 

The Eternity men is a little similar the only difference is the top notes are Mandarin, Lavender, and Green Botanics. The base notes are Sandalwood, Rosewood, and Amber.

Your man will be smelling fresh and citrusy. I honestly love the way it smells I could totally see myself wearing it.
