Mario Badescu Review: 6 Products I Can’t Live Without

Share this post or pin it for later!

Sharing my Mario Badescu review today! Do you remember when everyone was absolutely obsessed with Mario Badescu products? Obsessed would actually be an understatement, their products were trending everywhere!

It can be an overwhelming process to try out new skincare products since everyone’s skin is different. I’ve had friends who absolutely loved a product I’ve brought up or their skin wasn’t fond of it as much as they were.

Mario Badescu’s classic and minimalistic packaging is one that I love seeing in my skincare routine. Their brand is so versatile, they seem to have a product for any skin concern I may have.

While the hype died down, I stayed a loyal fan. Trust me, it can be scary trying new products but I’m here to show you some of the Mario Badescu products that I love.

I care too much about my skin and I’m glad their skincare products do too!

1.  Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater

If you’ve ever heard of Mario Badescu, 9 times out of 10 it was because of their facial sprays. The Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater blew everyone away–including me.

I adore this spray because it leaves me with dewy skin that’s to die for. I use it after cleansing as a toner but you can use it in many ways.

It could be a toner, a spray before applying makeup, after a face mask, or a quick spritz when your face needs a pick me up mid-day. Just make sure to close your eyes when applying!

Their aloe vera version of this spray seems to be amazing for dry skin based on the reviews. I definitely need to pick that one up once this bottle is done!

2. Drying Lotion

If it wasn’t the spray that introduced you to Mario Badescu, I’m sure it was this drying lotion. It’s popular for a reason—it definitely works.

The Mario Badescu drying lotion is ideal for those with oily skin or acne-prone skin since it has salicylic acid. The drying lotion is meant to dry the excess oil out of a blemish while reducing its inflammation at the same time.

I use it similar to a spot treatment product. Apply it on your troublesome spots, and let it do its magic! This drying lotion is at an affordable price point and a little goes a long way. You definitely get the bang for your buck!

3. Hyaluronic Eye Cream

I’m a firm believer that a good eye cream will always be a crucial component of your skincare routine. This brand has an amazing one that I constantly go back to.

We all have nights where we find ourselves not sleeping as much, and this product does wonders to make it look like you had a full night’s rest. I find my under-eye area looking plump thanks to the hyaluronic acid.

While some eye creams are only meant for nighttime use, this one can be used both morning and night. It’s a year-round eye cream since it does a fabulous job of hydrating dry under eyes but feels light during the hotter weather!

4. Mint Lip Balm

Lip balms were something I never paid much attention to until I realized how important it is to have hydrated lips. Chapped lips are never fun nor are they cute.

I stumbled across this lip balm randomly at Ulta in the mini’s area before check out–I fell for their trap. However, I don’t regret it one bit, because this lip balm has been one of my favorites.

The mint is super refreshing and I love that it isn’t on the stickier side. I won’t lie, the mint is what intrigued me.

5. Glycolic Foaming Cleanser

We all need a good cleanser that’s a staple to our routine. I’ll admit though, it’s very hard to find one you absolutely love.

I’m here to make that journey a bit easier. Glycolic Foaming Cleanser by Badescu is an absolute need. However, this ISN’T a cleanser you use every day.

If you have sensitive skin, this product might not be ideal. If your skin can handle some experimentation, replace your usual nightly cleanser with this one once or twice a week.

This glycolic acid cleanser helps with fading any fine lines along with refining pores. I find it not to be too drying if you follow up with a good moisturizer!

6. Buffering Lotion

An honorable mention to the product I use every once in a while: the buffering lotion. If your skin is sensitive maybe pass on this one, but it’s quite similar to the spot treatment!

You simply shake it a bit before using it, and use it as a spot treatment! I go back and forth with this product and the drying lotion.

This buffering lotion I feel helps minimize the appearance of under-the-surface bumps which I don’t get too often, but they show up enough for me to find a product for it. It feels very light which I absolutely love!

Have my recommendations convinced you to check Mario Badescu out? I hope you found this guide helpful and you end up loving some of these products as much as I love them!

Quick tip, when wanting to try new products, it’s always smart to look at the ingredients. If the product has something your skin isn’t fond of, it’s worth skipping rather than taking the risk of a bad reaction!

FAQs

How fast can I expect to see results with these products?

Everyone’s skin reacts differently so there is no guaranteed time! Miracles don’t happen overnight but, if you consistently use them, you should be able to see results in a couple of weeks!

Can the drying lotion be used often?

Since it’s a spot treatment, I’d suggest you only apply it as the whitehead is visible. If you were to use it after the whitehead disappears, excess dryness most likely would occur!

Is the facial spray an adequate replacement for a moisturizer or toner?

This spray works miracles and definitely multi-tasks but I personally think it works best before a moisturizer for added hydration to the skin.
