Adding a boho outdoor rug to your patio is the quickest way to really spice things up and change the look and feel of your backyard.
I knew I wanted a large outdoor rug in our backyard to cover up the unattractive orange tile. Eventually, we’ll get the backyard retiled, but today is not that day!
As soon as we added this gorgeous rug from Annie Selke (it’s currently sold out but I’m linking similar ones here!), it made a world of a difference.
It was the perfect pop in our backyard and made the space fit so much better with our aesthetic.
Btw, if you’re wondering what we do when it rains, we do roll up out outdoor rug and store it in the garage for 2 – 3 months of the year. We left it out once when it rained and that sucker was SO heavy from soaking up all the water and took a while to dry out. Whoops.

This rug also comes in a peachy color that’s cute AF. This would also look perfect underneath your patio furniture!
2. Xanafi Indoor/Outdoor Rug
When I saw this rug I thought it was very boho chic. The color is neutral, yet warm and inviting.
Like the other rug, it’s super low maintenance and easy to clean! This rug just fits in and elevates your space.
While I can imagine it in an outside seating area, this would also look nice indoors. West Elm kills it when it comes to cute decor.
3. Royal Stripe Outdoor Rug
If you’re looking for an inexpensive outdoor rug, this one is it. This rug just goes with whatever outdoor decor you have going on while adding some texture and print.
At first, I was a bit skeptical since I couldn’t tell if the rug was made of durable material. However, I read a bit more about it and it has a lot of five-star reviews raving about it.
For the price, it’s hard to say no. It also comes in three different sizing options. Your home needs this rug!
4. Veranda Black/Cream Border Rug
The print on this rug is stunning—are you seeing this?? The reviews emphasize that it’s such a high-quality rug and I’m itching to add it to my cart.
A classic black and white piece looks great since it blends in seamlessly. This one would add more of a moody, dramatic vibe to your backyard.
It’s fade-resistant making it perfect for me since our backyard gets a good amount of sun! This rug is definitely at the top of my list—you need it.
5. Ellington Circle Oriental Indoor/Outdoor Rug
While I can already imagine this rug looking great in my backyard, it would also look stunning in my living room! I think brown color palettes are my favorite since they blend in seamlessly with whatever decor you already have.
This rug looks very sturdy and a review mentioned that the edges don’t curl up—definitely important for outdoor rugs since they have to deal with the elements more.
I’ve had so many rugs in the past that curl up on the corners and it’s tedious. The round print is gorgeous and a little different than your usual prints.
I was impressed with how it said the rain doesn’t affect the rug as much since it dries up relatively quickly. That won’t be a problem anytime soon though!
6. Samsode Rug
The print on this rug has to be one of my absolute favorites. It comes in a few different colors and I love the vintage aesthetic of it.
The rug itself is also very lightweight which is perfect. I think this would look great in any outdoor area!
The graphic pattern is inspired by the Samode Palace in India. How glam!
7. Blue Border Bohemian/Eclectic Area Rug
This last rug is so gorgeous. I love the color palette going on and I think it compliments the natural colors you’d find in a backyard perfectly.
It gives beachy bohemian vibes and I’m living for it. It has UV-resistant material making it once again perfect for your backyard where you probably get a good amount of sunlight.
The material looks incredibly soft which is great since it could be used indoors as well! It comes in a variety of sizes but my ideal one would be the 8×10.
