I think the best way to decorate your space is with plants, but if you’re anything like me you probably struggle to keep them alive. 😅 I have the perfect solution for you and it’s adding faux plants, so I’m sharing all the most realistic artificial outdoor plants to add to your home.

I’m personally a big fan of fiddle leaf tree plants, palm trees, or outdoor plants with flowers. These style plants add so much personality and character to your home decor setup—I’m obsessed.

Before I started investing in fake plants, I was worried that they would look tacky or obviously look artificial. But the more expensive and higher quality artificial plants look soo stunning!

I literally recently had someone argue with me about whether a particular plant in our wet bar was real or not—she was convinced it was real but I was like gf, I bought it myself, it’s artificial!

This is your sign to start buying outdoor artificial plants and add them as home decor—especially if you don’t have a green thumb.

P.S. if you’re wanting to try a live plant in your home, the pilea is a great option. Here’s a guide on pilea plant care to get you started!

8 Most Realistic Artificial Outdoor Plants

1. Faux Potted Bird of Paradise Plant 6′

I had to start off with this stunning faux potted Bird of Paradise plant by West Elm. The leaves on this are so luscious and realistic.

It comes in 2 different sizes, but I prefer the 6′ because it’s bigger and takes up more negative space. I would definitely style is similar to the way West Elm did by putting it next to a couch or in a corner.

I love that you have the option to buy it potted or not. The pot it comes with is so aesthetically pleasing and minimal—it goes with everything.

For care, all you need to do is dust and wipe down the plant with a dry cloth to maintain its vibrance.

2. Faux Potted Fiddle Leaf Fig Plant 7′

This faux potted Fiddle Leaf Fig plant is one of the most realistic options I’ve seen out there. Each plant is handcrafted to look identical to a real one with broad leaves and bendable branches.

The best part is that each leaf is cut, silk-screened, painted, and assembled by hand to bring you the most high-quality faux plant.

I would definitely switch out the pot it comes with to a more elegant style like stone or a plant stand. Since everyone loves a fiddle leaf plant, it comes in 3 different sizes: 2′, 5′, and 7’—again I love to go big.

3. Faux Monstera Plant & Ilya Turned Wood Planter Set

Everyone needs a Monstera in their home—they’re lush and unique. If you’re looking to achieve that very boho or trendy aesthetic this Monstera wood pot combo is the answer.

I’m obsessed with the size of this plant because it’s not too big. The raised pot gives it the perfect amount of height to incorporate into your home office or living room.

Everything about the plant is made out of polyester, plastic, styrofoam, cement, and sand. So it’s very durable and will last forever.

4. Faux Cactus & Terracotta Bishop Pedestal Planter Set

This faux Cactus & Terracotta planter set is everything—it’s giving dreamy Joshua Tree Airbnb vibes. I’m seriously obsessed with how big this Cactus plant is!

I could see it being the main decor piece in the living room. I also love the combo with the Terracotta Bishop Pedestal planter—major desert energy.

I really appreciate that the pot includes drainage holes so you can always swap it with a real plant if you change your mind.

This plant set is definitely on the pricier side, but worth it for a lifelong plant that never dies. You really can’t go wrong with a cactus because it looks good in any space.

5. Faux Alocasia Tree 5′

If you’re looking for a different kind of plant to mix things up, this faux Alocasia tree makes a really cute addition to your space. This Alocasia would look especially cute in a tropical-themed room.

My favorite part of this plant is the arrow-shaped leaves. Everything is made from recycled plastic and wire.

I also really love that it comes with 2 base branches and 12 leaves on each branch which gives it a very full-looking appearance.

I highly recommend adding on the Concrete Fluted Planters to give it that minimal look.

6. Faux Potted Olive Tree 6′

An olive tree is the perfect fake plant if you’re trying to achieve that farmhouse chic look. It has such a dainty and minimal aesthetic to it.

This faux olive tree comes in 3 different sizes: 6 feet, 7 feet, and 9 feet. I would probably go with the 6 ft. one because the leaves expand pretty far out.

I also really appreciate the silvery leaf detail that makes it look even more realistic and delicate. It’s super easy to clean with a dry cloth.

7. Faux Paradise Palm, 7′

This faux Paradise Palm is so loud and fun—I’m a big fan. I would totally style this in a wood-raised cement pot to make it look more modern.

Again, this style plant comes in 3 different sizes: 5’, 6’, and 7’. Depending on how big your space is you can pick accordingly.

I love that the leaves extend outward in every direction making it look very full. Everything about this palm looks super realistic.

8. Faux Boxwood Double Ball Topiary With Led Lights, 37″

Lastly, I thought it would be fun to include this artificial Boxwood Double Ball Topiary that comes with LED lights. I personally wouldn’t style this inside of my home, but would totally put this in my front or back yard for a more stylish look.

I love that I don’t have to worry about caring for this especially since I like to travel a lot. Since it comes with LED lights, it looks really cute and dainty at night.

If you have a backyard or patio this style would look really cute around a garden bistro set for those romantic evening vibes.

Those were all my favorite and most realistic artificial outdoor plants to shop for! I swear by all of these fake outdoor plants because they’re gorgeous and look so natural.
