8 Best Velvet Sofas
1. Apt2B Nora Velvet Sleeper Sofa
I knew from the moment we moved into our new home we needed to get a gorgeous navy blue velvet couch for my blogger office space. I also wanted it to be a sleeper sofa so that my office can double as a second guest room when we have multiple guests over.
You have no idea how hard it was to find a chic navy velvet couch that doubles as a sleeper sofa too! I opted for the twin size Nora couch, but if you’re looking for something bigger, they also have a queen size option.
I love that I can do it all on this couch. I sit here and journal in the mornings, I work from it (sometimes fully horizontal lol) in the afternoons, and I lie down and meditate on it when I need a break.
It’s been the best investment, and our guests love sleeping on it and staying in my office too!
The Nora Sleeper Sofa comes in over 50 different colors, and you can order free swatches so you can pick the perfect look.
2. Wayfair Green Velvet Square Arm Sofa Sleeper
This green velvet sofa from Wayfair is another great option. I love that this also doubles as a sleeper—perfect for hosting friends and family.
If you’re going for a more tropical or moody theme, this sofa will tie everything together. It can seat up to four people comfortably, making it a great size to style in your living room.
This sofa is extra cushioned, so you can lounge in it all day long. This style almost reminds me of the one I got from Apt2b, but more affordable.
3. Wayfair Gray Velvet Rolled Arm Chesterfield Sofa
This velvet Chesterfield sofa is the perfect option if you’re looking for a farmhouse chic aesthetic. I’m obsessed with the bulky scroll arm detailing, I feel like it adds a regal touch.
If you don’t love the gray, don’t worry—it also comes in a stunning royal blue color. I can imagine styling this sofa with a super cute throw blanket and some accent pillows.
It’s not a sleeper, but it does seat three people comfortably. This sofa would make a great addition to your living room or office space.
4. Urban Outfitters Velvet Modular Sofa
I can’t get over this Urban Outfitters velvet sofa—this is literally one of the most aesthetic sofas I’ve seen. It’s the perfect blend between vintage and modern.
Since it’s modular, its square arms will work in any space. It also comes in so many different colors, giving you plenty of options to express your style.
I’m a big fan of the ottoman option because that means I can stretch out my legs and binge-watch my fav TV shows. This is definitely a statement couch where you can style your entire place around it.
5. West Elm Andes Sofa
You can never go wrong with West Elm when it comes to living room furniture. The Andes sofa is the modern contemporary sofa you’ve been looking for.
I love that this sofa is fully customizable with so many different fabrics to choose from. My personal fav is the velvet upholstery option, but you can choose from dozens that fit with your room design.
This sofa is on the pricier side, but totally worth the investment because it’s made with quality materials that will last a long time.
6. Wayfair Velvet Square Arm Sofa
This Wayfair Velvet Square Arm Sofa is stunning—I can’t get over the mid-century and European vibes. It’s made with tufted seat cushions and also includes neck roll pillows for ultimate comfort.
This sofa features wooden leg detailing made with solid wood, so you know that it’s sturdy. It can also seat up to 3 people very comfortably.
This green velvet color is gorgeous and is more of an emerald green shade. I think this style would look amazing as the centerpiece in your living room—make it the first thing people notice when they walk into your space.
7. Modern Blue Velvet Curved Sofa
I had to include this Modern Velvet Curved Sofa—this is one of the most unique pieces I’ve ever seen. It comes in a few different colors, but this blue color really stood out to me.
This is definitely a piece you want to show off in your house when you have people come over—it really makes the place feel lively. I’m living for the mid-century modern vibes this sofa gives off.
I know it might not look like the most comfortable sofa, but it really is comfy with the extra padded backrest and toss pillows. The tapered gold metal legs are a nice touch.
8. Rust Velvet Sofa
To wrap things up, I had to include this super cute Rust Velvet Sofa. It comes in a few different colors, but this rust color is stunning and a neutral tone that will also add some warmth to your space.
It has that classic mid-century modern look with a solid wood frame. The best part is the upholstery is made to be water and stain-resistant.
This is the perfect size sofa if you’re looking for something that can seat around 4 people comfortably but can also fit in a smaller place.
Those were all my velvet sofa favorites—aren’t they perfect 🤩. I personally think the velvet sleeper sofas are the most worth it because you’re not only getting a gorgeous couch, but also a bed for guests to sleep more comfortably.
