I’m back at it again with some more home decor content. I think one of the best ways to spice up your space is by adding colorful accent chairs.
Have fun and experiment with colors you’ve may have been too scared to try before. I’m sharing some of my favorite colorful accent chairs to add to your living room, office space, or bedroom.
An accent chair is the best piece of furniture to add to your home to really change up the mood or the vibe. Literally, all it takes is a contrasting color to brighten up the place.
Top 10 Colorful Accent Chairs
1. West Elm Carlo Mid-Century Chair
This Mid-Century Chair from West Elm is the perfect addition to your living room. If you’re looking for that California-style home this chair will help you achieve that.
They offer this shape in so many different colors, but the Dijon Astor velvet stood out the most to me. The yellow color instantly brightens up the space—it reminds me of sunshine.
Another beautiful detail is that it’s velvet. If you’ve seen my cloffice space—you can see my blogger cloffice reveal here—you know how much I love a velvet seating moment.
I think any bold color and velvet make the best combo. Another bonus is this chair is designed for ultimate comfort so you can easily spend hours sitting here.
2. Wayfair Lisette 26” Wide Tufted Velvet Side Chair
I really can’t resist velvet accent pieces and this one from Wayfair really reminds me of the one in my cloffice, but it looks like the mini version.
The navy color and gold accents are everything that you can easily style this piece in your home. If you have grey or cream sofas, this is the perfect amount of contrast to add.
This style has a very contemporary glam aesthetic to it that really gives off Hollywood vibes. I love that chair is more on the affordable side and is designed to look super cute while also being comfortable.
If you don’t love the navy blue color, they have so many other color options like pastel pink, yellow, green, and so many more to choose from.
3. Minted for West Elm Relaxed Armchair
This accent chair is a little different because it’s not colorful and has a loud print instead. This armchair design comes in so many different prints, fabrics, and colors but the Off the Grid design by Jennifer Morehead really caught my eye.
The boxy shape has a very modern design and is the perfect pop to add to your space. I feel like this design is a statement piece on its own.
It was designed for small spaces too so if you have less space to decorate, this is the chair you need in your life.
You also get the option to pick out the legs and leg color. I love that West Elm makes their chairs fully customizable.
4. World Market Linen Layla Upholstered Chair
This lounge chair style from World Market is so so cute. I’m obsessed with the simple design with the option to make it pop.
I couldn’t resist the pink rose quartz color. It gives off soft and delicate vibes.
I can imagine this chair in a cottage core style home next to the window, while you’re reading a book and drinking coffee.
If you don’t love pink, they also offer this chair design in 5 different colors. The legs are made out of solid wood, making this piece high quality.
5. Target Upholstered Natural Wood Accent Chair
This is another more subtle accent chair to add to your space. It has that classic blue and white striped print.
I think prints are almost like colorful accent pieces because they stand out in an empty or neutral space. I also love that this style has a farmhouse-chic vibe to it.
It’s designed to look slightly oversized and have lots of support—the best of both worlds. This chair would also look really nice in a set of two.
Imagine a cute little table in between the two chairs to create an aesthetic corner for reading, drinking coffee, or just scrolling on your phone.
Also, a little fun fact: if you’ve ever watched Fixer Upper on HGTV, this chair was designed by Joanna Gaines.
6. Wayfair Brundage 26” Wide Lounge Chair
I’m sure you’ve seen a classic leather accent chair, but have you seen a navy blue leather accent chair? This one by Wayfair is stunning and so unique that I had to include it.
It has a very vintage feel to it, that it naturally stands out. It’s built with a metal base and has two sled-inspired legs that bend inward to create an X-shaped footprint.
Since it has a larger bottom seat, you’ll be able to sink into it and get super comfy to lounge in for hours. Although it’s made with faux leather, it looks very real and expensive.
We love shopping for items that are aesthetic AF, but also budget-friendly.
7. Pottery Barn Hart Upholstered Armchair
I’ve been obsessed with the teddy faux fur style furniture pieces that I thought it would be fun to include one. They’re so unique and look so cute in people’s spaces.
This armchair is definitely a fun accent chair because you’re incorporating both warm brown tones mixed with unique fabrics.
But no need to worry if you don’t love the teddy fabric because Pottery Barn has so many different options to choose from that are less out there.
I feel like adding this upholstered chair to your home instantly makes it super cozy.
8. West Elm Hattie Chair
This West Elm Hattie Chair in Mauve Pink is adorable. I think this chair would add the perfect touch of femininity to your space.
The pink color is so soft that it doesn’t overpower the room. The brassy detailing on the legs with the pink makes it easy to style with anything.
It has velvet fabric throughout giving it that really soft and comfortable feeling when you sit on it. It has a very mid-century modern design to it so you can achieve that very California-style home.
9. Wayfair Bolen 30.31” Wide Convertible Chair
I love this convertible-style chair that doubles as a bed—having a 2-in-1 is so convenient. If I had to choose I would opt for this gorgeous velvet green color to mix things up.
The deeper green is so pretty and adds a tropical theme to your space. It also comes with a little throw pillow so no need to go out to find one that matches.
I also appreciate the wooden details on the legs of the chair to add a more modern look. I think this accent chair would look really good in an office.
10. World Market Oversized Teal Crushed Velvet Rico Upholstered Swivel Chair
I had to end off with a bang and this Oversized Teal Crushed Velvet Swivel Chair is so so unique. This teal color is gorgeous and looks more muted, which is perfect for adding a small pop of color.
I also love that the chair is not too chunky and won’t take up too much space. There’s plenty of back support and the velvet is so soft.
It comes with 3 throw pillows to make it look homier.
Those were my 10 favorite colorful accent chairs to add to your space! These accent chairs are the best way to add pops of color or to spruce up your home.
I hope you fell in love with these colorful accent chairs as much as I did and decide to add one to your space. If you do I would love to see it by tagging me on Insta @wtfab.
