In this Seed probiotics review, I’m diving into the importance of gut health supplements and whether you should try Seed’s products, based on my personal experience.

While gut health isn’t the most glamorous topic of discussion, educating yourself about its significance is essential.

Before trying Seed probiotics, I didn’t know how much of the body is affected by your gut—I thought it just impacted your digestive system.

I’ve since learned that having the proper balance of healthy gut bacteria can impact everything from your brain to your heart, skin, and lungs.

If you want clear skin, a healthy heart, and a top-notch gut (sign me up), keep reading this Seed probiotics review for honest thoughts about the company and my experience using its products.

About Seed

Seed describes itself as a “microbiome science company” headed by a board of microbiology, immunology, and gastroenterology scientists, to name a few.

I’m no scientist, but thankfully the folks at Seed know their stuff!

The team at Seed aims to solve common health issues with probiotics, which you’ve probably heard of on social media but may not know a lot about.

I wasn’t very familiar with probiotics either and thought they were just a wellness fad, but boy was I wrong—essentially, they’re living microorganisms that are vital for bodily functions.

Probiotics are specific types of bacteria crucial for a balanced gut microbiome, which goes beyond digestive health to impact your immune system, heart, skin, and more.

I’ve tried many probiotics on the market, but Seed is my favorite choice because its products are scientifically developed to ensure optimal results.

The Science Behind Seed

Seed begins its probiotic product formulation by choosing specific strains of bacteria, like Bifidobacterium longum, that have been clinically researched and proven to support gut health.

The bacteria are then cultured for viability and checked for active fluorescent units (AFUs) through scientific methods to confirm they’re alive and working correctly.

Upon validation, the bacteria is tested with a Simulator of the Human Intestinal Microbial Ecosystem (SHIME) for effectiveness, quality, and allergens.

Voila, now you have a top-notch probiotic clinically studied and proven to support your gut microbiome!

This whole process can be challenging to explain and understand, but Seed is incredibly transparent about how it develops its probiotic products, which adds to its credibility, IMO.

How Does Seed Work?

Seed is a subscription-based company that delivers synbiotics (a mixture of pro- and prebiotics) on your chosen schedule.

Your first order at Seed consists of a welcome kit with refillable containers and a 30-day supply of supplements.

After the first month, you’ll continue to receive the synbiotic products in a sustainable container once a month or every three or six months.

One thing I love about Seed is that you can reschedule or cancel your shipments anytime—helpful for busy folks like me.

Seed’s synbiotic products are $50 a month, and the company offers free shipping within the United States and a flat-rate international fee.

Military members, teachers, first responders, students, and nurses/doctors can also receive a 15% subscription discount!

DS-01 Daily Synbiotic

Seed’s DS-01 Daily Synbiotic, designed to promote overall health for adults over 18, has been the perfect addition to my daily routine.

My first Seed DS-01 Daily Synbiotic order included a handy welcome kit with 30 days’ worth of capsules, a sleek refillable glass jar, and a convenient glass travel vial.

I started taking these dietary supplements to improve my digestion and maintain my gut barrier integrity, but the Seed Daily Synbiotic also promotes dermatological and cardiovascular health.

These DS-01 capsules stand out as they contain 24 probiotic strains proven to balance your gut while strengthening your heart functions and clearing your skin.

I was interested to learn that the probiotic bacteria in these capsules provide better absorption than fermented foods like kefir, yogurt, pickles, and kimchi.

Seed’s probiotic supplements are designed with a prebiotic outer capsule and probiotic inner capsule to protect the bacteria from heat, moisture, and oxygen, ensuring maximum potency.

Regularly taking Seed’s Daily Synbiotic has helped combat bloating and constipation while supporting my immune function.

Another bonus of this daily probiotic is it aids micronutrient synthesis to help absorb vitamins B9 and B12.

Per Seed’s recommendations, I take two DS-01 capsules daily on an empty stomach to limit the presence of highly acidic digestive enzymes and bile salts.

They’ve never upset my stomach, given me heartburn, or caused discomfort, so I highly suggest trying them, even if you have a sensitive tummy.

PDS-08 Pediatric Daily Synbiotic

Seed also offers a PDS-08 Pediatric Daily Synbiotic product, a probiotic blend for kids and teens.

While I don’t have children yet (that’s changing soon!), PDS-08 is a fantastic diet supplement for kids with scientifically studied strains to support frequent bowel movements, dermatological health, and more.

For simplicity, this Pediatric Synbiotic comes as a powder in single-serve packets—add to any cold or room temperature food or drink, mix well, and consume within 30 minutes.

I know kids can be resistant to taking vitamins, so the powder seems like a much easier way to encourage their daily supplement intake since you can add it to things like juice, ice cream, and cereal.

Benefits of PDS-08 include digestive support for fewer stomach aches and discomfort, smooth skin, and a strong respiratory tract to combat seasonal allergies.

Each PDS-08 Synbiotic welcome kit includes 30 product sachets and a refillable aluminum container.

Must maintain use for results: Once you’ve started taking Seed probiotics, you must continue daily to reap the benefits.
