Sharing some fabulous rooftop bars in Hamburg in this post. This beautiful port town in Northern Germany and its stunning skyline is an absolute must-see!
Everyone always raves about the parties in Berlin and Munich, but there’s something extra special about the flourishing nightlife in Hamburg. It feels like a secret club that only the locals know about—and I was so happy to be in on it.
One of the best ways to experience Hamburg’s famous nightlife is to take in the cityscape from one of its many rooftop bars. Whether you’re looking for a romantic evening or an all-out party atmosphere, these venues offer a unique perspective on the city that I just know you’ll love.
Without further ado, here are my top picks for the best rooftop bars in Hamburg.

The Best Rooftop Bars in Hamburg
1. Campari Lounge
If the skies are clear, then I highly recommend heading to Campari Lounge. The sunsets are out of this world.
This cocktail lounge and rooftop bar are both comfortable and fashionable. You’ll have an excellent panoramic view of Hamburg’s skyline and a beautiful perspective of the sailboats that sail along Lake Alster. It’s picture-perfect, to say the least.
When the weather is good, you can visit the terrace with a comfortable lounge area and a bar serving champagne, wine, and a variety of specialty cocktails inspired by Campari.
If you enjoy your cocktails on the more bitter side, then get ready to have a good night out at Campari Lounge.
2. HERITAGE Hamburg Rooftop Bar
HERITAGE Hamburg Rooftop Bar is one of my favorite rooftop bars Hamburg has to offer. It’s located at the design hotel Le Méridien and has two floors, and the aesthetic is just so yummy.
It features an indoor lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace that offers panoramic views of Alster Lake.
The rooftop bar is modern and stylish, perfect for enjoying the city from above. Whether you prefer indoor seating or airy summer sessions on the outdoor terrace, HERITAGE Hamburg Rooftop Bar is a great choice year-round.
At the HERITAGE Rooftop Bar, you can choose from a wide range of expertly made cocktails that blend local and exotic flavors for a unique taste experience. Your tastebuds will be poppin’.
The bar is open every night and has great service along with a lively atmosphere, making it the perfect place to meet up with friends while enjoying great drinks and stunning sunset views.
3. Top Seven by Grand Elyseé
The Grand Elysée Hamburg is a longstanding 5-star hotel that recently added a new feature in 2020—the Top Seven rooftop bar.
The Top Seven roof boasts comfortable lounge furniture, elegant bar stools, and stunning views of Hamburg’s picturesque cityscape.
Imagine looking down upon the cobblestone streets with a spritz in hand. You’ll think you’re in a fairytale.
During spring and summer, you can quench your thirst by indulging in creative signature cocktails, fizzy drinks, a sparkling glass of champagne, or maybe something from the Gin Tonic collection, complemented by a tasty tapas selection. It’s the perfect afternoon in Hamburg.
4. Sky & Sand Beachclub
Located in the heart of Hamburg and just a stone’s throw away from the city center, Sky & Sand Beachclub is one of the most popular rooftop bars.
It has a stunning outdoor terrace that offers panoramic views of the city. On a sunny day, you can relax with some tropical drinks while taking in sweeping views of the harbor.
As you might have guessed, the decor of this venue follows a beach theme and it has a real holiday vibe to it. The floor is made of Fiji sand—yeah, get ready to sink your toes into it. They also have a small rooftop pool.
After having a drink or two, you won’t be able to tell that you’re in the center of Hamburg.
5. Clouds – Heaven’s Nest
Heaven’s Nest is a rooftop bar that offers a little bit of everything, but everyone goes for the breathtaking panoramic view of the city and the surrounding area. It’ll have you feeling like you’re in the clouds.
Sadly, the rooftop terrace is only open daily during the summer season, but right below it is Clouds restaurant and bar, open year-round.
Both are great options, but if you can go during the summer, I highly recommend it!
The rooftop bar has standing cocktail tables, lounge sofas, and some comfortable daybeds. During the day, it’s pretty laidback, but at night it turns into a huge rooftop party.
The drinks menu is extensive and includes mouth-watering cocktails, lots of champagne, and wines. Plus, they also serve some delicious light bites to keep you going throughout the night.
6. Puzzle Bar
The Puzzle Bar is located on the rooftop of the Campus Tower in HafenCity.
It has both indoor and outdoor seating options that provide amazing views over the city. You can enjoy the view through panoramic windows or from the al-fresco terrace on the 15th floor.
The bar has a modern and chic design, giving you the feeling of being in a glamorous location. Plus, it’s open year-round, so if you’re visiting during winter, this is still the place to be!
Chef Kevin Fehling, the only Hamburg native to have received three Michelin stars, opened up Puzzle Bar and has really nailed the concept of great food in a casual way.
The menu includes some luxurious street food, but the real highlight is the creative handcrafted cocktails. You’re going to love it.
7. TWOSIX Food & Rooftop Bar Hamburg
Get ready to see as far as your eye will let you at TWOSIX Food & Rooftop Bar.
Located on top of the Radisson Blu Hotel, almost 400 feet high. It’s the tallest rooftop bar Hamburg has to offer. I hope you don’t mind heights!
The rooftop has a combination of a stylish indoor lounge and an airy outdoor terrace. You can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the city from this bar.
During the summer, I really love a good gin drink, and at TWOSIX, you can choose from 26 different types of gin—how am I supposed to pick one? They also have 26 high-quality wines for my non-cocktail drinkers.
The rooftop restaurant has a calm and laid-back atmosphere, making it a great spot to relax after a day of sightseeing or a cute little romantic date with your boo-thang. You really can’t beat enjoying a cocktail this high over Hamburger!
How’s that for some amazing rooftop bars in Hamburg to check out? I hope you’ve found this list helpful—let me know what you think and any new places I should check out the next time I’m in Hamburg!
