A riad is a traditional Moroccan dwelling with an interior garden or central courtyard. They were originally built by wealthy merchants in the heart of the city as their private residences but have now been converted into luxurious hotels and I’m so thankful!
The riad concept is designed to provide an escape from the chaos of the streets since Moroccan streets can be hectic.
Once I stepped inside, my breath was taken away by the mesmerizing design! The intricate carvings and tiling on the interior walls, inviting pools, and delicate furniture all captivated me. It felt like a palace!
I don’t think any amount of convincing would make me leave this enchanting paradise.
So let’s jump into it with my list of the most epic riads in Fes.
