Staying at JUST Inn (get it? Justin Wine. Justin. JUST Inn.) means staying right on the property of the beautiful Justin Winery in Paso Robles. Plus, they have Tesla charging stations, so if you’re a Tesla owner (like I’m about to be!) you’ll be happy to have those.
Omied and I had visited Justin’s vineyard and tasting room before during our first Paso Robles trip (you can view some of my previous Paso coverage in posts like The Best Paso Robles Wineries, Best Hotels in Paso, Things to do in Paso Robles Travel Guide, and my Best Paso Robles Restaurants list!).
We absolutely loved Justin Vineyards and our wine tasting experience there—you can read more about the chocolate tasting and incredible lunch we had in this post: Justin Winery Paso Robles.
We enjoyed even more of their wines during the pandemic, when Justin was doing virtual wine tastings over Instagram Live. Those were so fun—we felt like we were sitting down with Justin himself, enjoying his wines with him.
During our last visit when we tried some of their award winning wines, we learned a bit about the property and the Justin story and history, and realized that there were actually guest rooms available, nestled among the vineyards. We thought that sounded like a pretty sweet place to stay during a Paso trip!
I just got back from another trip to Paso Robles, and this time I did stay at the lovely JUST Inn. It was the perfect way to kick off a Paso trip!
The JUST Inn suites offer luxurious vineyard vibes and views. There are three suites available, named after a few of their wines—Justification, Isosceles, and Savant.
They also have a 1,400 square foot Vitner’s Villa, complete with a full kitchen, dining room, balcony, and Butler’s Pantry.
There’s also a Chateau for a cool $12,500 a night, which we really wanted to visit just to take a peek at and shoot in front of, but it’s currently under construction. So even if you could afford that price point, it’s not available at the moment.
We were in the Justification suite, and it was cozy and cute for two people. My favorite part was definitely the views from the balconies—you can look out and enjoy the vineyard views and it seriously looks like a postcard.
All of the rooms offer luxurious appointments, with thoughtful touches like a Keurig machine and small snacks like a bag of nuts.
When we checked in we were greeted with a splash of Justin rosé, and we had a lovely charcuterie board waiting for us in the refrigerator in our room, which was perfect since we were feeling a little hungry after our drive down to the Central Coast!
There was also an additional bottle of wine waiting for us in our room. We felt very taken care of!
JUST Inn Location:
11680 Chimney Rock Rd, Paso Robles, CA 93446
If you like the idea of living in a vineyard (who doesn’t?), this location is primo.
You can book your stay directly on JUST Inn’s website here.
You’ll want to note that because you’re staying out at Justin’s actual vineyards, you’re not going to be in a central location near downtown Paso Robles. If you’re heading downtown for dinner, plan to give yourself about a half-hour to get into town. Also just a side note, Justin does have a downtown tasting room right next to La Cosecha.
But, the peace and quiet are also part of the beauty and serenity of staying at JUST Inn! There are also other wineries nearby if you want to hop around to a few near Justin in the Adelaida District.
I’d recommend checking out some of the nearby wineries while you’re there like Halter Ranch, Opolo, and Adelaida.
Let’s get into some specifics on what I loved about our stay at JUST Inn!
JUST Inn Review
Food:
As I mention in my Justin Winery post, the food at the restaurant is fantastic! The restaurant is only open during half of the week, so be sure to plan accordingly. They are open for lunch and dinner Thursdays – Saturdays, and only lunch on Sundays.
I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that guests at JUST Inn also get breakfast delivered in the mornings! The food is the chef’s choice and they will whip up something delicious for you (they do ask when you check in if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies).
We enjoyed a simple but yummy breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, and blueberries with cottage cheese, with a side of orange juice.
And of course, we ate on our balcony. I mean, just look at those views! Does it not look like a postcard??
Wine Tasting:
When you book a stay at JUST Inn, you also get a complimentary wine tasting included. I love all their wines and always enjoy a tasting here.
The outdoor tasting patio has plenty of shade and overlooks their vineyard. We watched hawks swooping overhead while sipping on some of their Bordeaux-Style blends.
Service:
Aside from the stunning property and great food and wine, I think another reason you’ll find so many 5-star reviews when you Google “Just Inn reviews” is the friendly service. Everyone who works there is lovely and just wants you to enjoy yourself.
If you request a tour of their wine caves and property, they’ll gladly take you out for one. We got to head over to their production facility to see a bit more of the property.
If you read some of the JUST Inn reviews on sites like TripAdvisor you’ll find review after review of people who are longtime Justin Wine society members and people who have recently discovered the brand alike, raving about their stay and the staff going above and beyond.
Parking:
There’s a private parking lot for JUST Inn guests that is separate from the main parking lot, and you’re given the code upon check-in. It’s a nice luxury to be able to pull right up by your room and not have to walk more than a few steps.
Plus, they have Tesla charging stations, so if you’re a Tesla owner (like I’m about to be!) you’ll be happy to have those.
Grounds:
Obviously, the grounds are beautiful. I’d recommend making sure you have an afternoon and an evening to just relax, explore the property, and soak up its natural beauty.
The property has a few fire pits to enjoy, a couple of beautiful garden areas, and hammocks by the vineyard! You can also walk up the hill a bit to get even more spectacular vineyard views.
Kara convinced me to do a whole styled outfit shoot in their garden. I hadn’t shot an old school outfit post in so long, but I remembered it’s actually pretty fun. So I’ll have a few of those hitting the blog soon!
Beds:
This is a biggie for me when I’m traveling! Uncomfortable beds or pillows are the worst when you’re away from home. JUST Inn has Tempur-Pedic mattresses, Frette linens, and very comfortable pillows. You’ll be able to get a great night’s sleep here after wine tasting all day.
Have I fully convinced you yet that you need to book a stay at JUST Inn ASAP?? I know you’ll love it. I can’t wait to visit again and just relax in their peaceful vineyard.
If you do book a stay at JUST Inn, tag me in your Insta Stories—I’d love to see! I’m @wtfab. And if you have any questions about our stay there, you can always shoot me an email (my email address is: elise [at] whatthefab.com).
