I love trying new skincare trends to see what works for my skin, and I’ve been dying to try a red light LED mask! After a ton of research, I landed on the CurrentBody LED Light Therapy Mask.
LED light therapy has been trending in the beauty industry, but it can be overwhelming to find a medspa that provides treatments and even more intimidating to try doing it at home.

CurrentBody LED Mask Review
What is LED Light Therapy?
LED light therapy is a scientifically-proven skin care treatment for signs of aging, scars, joint pain, and more.
I was surprised to find out that LED light therapy was developed in the 1990s by NASA, which began studying its effects on astronauts.
This skincare treatment uses different light wavelengths, which give off unique colors, to penetrate the layers of the skin and promote your cells’ natural rejuvenation process.
Blue light, for instance, affects the top layer of skin and can help treat acne, while red light goes deeper into the skin to reduce inflammation and increase collagen production.
Studies have shown that LED light therapy effectively treats common skin concerns and noticeably improves skin health and overall appearance.
Most research suggests at-home LED light therapy devices begin to work their magic after four to five weeks of daily use.
I set out to test mine out over the course of a month, so I could report back! I used both the face and neck mask at least 5 times a week and took before/after photos. Here’s what I found…

CurrentBody LED Light Therapy Face Mask
I’m ready to spill all the deets on my experience using the CurrentBody LED Face Mask!
This Light Therapy Face Mask combines red and near-infrared light to provide potent skincare benefits in just 10 minutes three to five times a week.
The red LED light helps repair your skin by encouraging the production of new cells, which promotes increased collagen levels.
Meanwhile, the near-infrared light pierces into the deep layers of your skin to boost circulation, improve blood flow and increase oxygen levels.
Regularly using the LED Light Therapy Mask will give you a glowing complexion and a more youthful appearance—sign me up!
If that isn’t enough to convince you to try the CurrentBody LED Mask, you should also know celebs like Halle Berry and Kourtney Kardashian swear by it.
The standard face mask kit has everything you need for at-home LED treatments, including the Light Therapy mask, a USB charging cable, comfort goggles, and more.
Before your first facial treatment with the CurrentBody LED Mask, perform a sensitivity test on your inner arm to ensure your skin reacts appropriately.
You shouldn’t feel any heat, itchiness, or discomfort while using the facial toning device, so once you’ve made sure your skin won’t experience any irritation, you can begin facial treatments.
The first step is to cleanse your skin and pat dry—CurrentBody also recommends applying a few drops of the Green Tea Serum as it boosts the effects of LED and speeds up results.
Attach the Light Therapy Mask strap and adjust it to fit comfortably around your head. Then switch the device on and kick your feet up during the 10-minute treatment cycle.
For an extra boost of hydration and radiance, you can also pair the CurrentBody LED mask with the Hydrogel Face Mask, which is loaded with hyaluronic serum in the formula to ensure you have a dewy glow to the skin.
Setting up and using the hands-free LED Face Mask is super straightforward, and I love that it only takes 10 minutes a day to start seeing results.
I found it super easy to incorporate the face and neck mask into my nightly routine. I store them in our living room and break them out when I’m watching Netflix or listening to an audiobook in the evenings.
You can use the Light Therapy Face Mask up to five days a week and expect to see results within one month of regular use.

CurrentBody LED Neck and Dec Perfector
I was VERY interested in trying the neck mask because I feel like as I’m approaching my mid-30s, I’m starting to see more fine lines around my neck and décolletage.
The Neck and Dec Perfector comes with two strap sizes and is made with comfortable silicone molds that perfectly fit your body for maximum effectiveness.
I recommend snagging the LED Light Therapy Face and Neck Kit so you can start healing your face, neck, and chest all at once.
CurrentBody LED Mask Final Thoughts
Ok, answering the question you all want to know: Did I see a difference in my skin? The answer is definitely.
The biggest thing I notice in my before/after photos is that my skin had a lot of redness in it in the before shots, and in the after shots, a lot of that redness is gone, creating a more even skin tone.
I have some hyperpigmentation that I’m hoping the LED Mask will help with. While I don’t notice any huge results with this particular skin problem yet, it’s only been a month, and I think I notice some fading, but it seems too early to tell.
Given how much the mask has helped with redness in my skin tone, I’m definitely sticking with it and can’t wait to see how things are looking in another couple of months!
Treatments take only 10 minutes of your day and will noticeably improve the youthfulness and firmness of your skin in just a few weeks. These at-home infrared light therapy devices are a splurge, but you’ll save a lot of money by doing treatments at home rather than going into a spa.
I hope this CurrentBody LED Mask review inspires you to level up your at-home skincare treatments!
