This month, I decided it was time to do some damage control on my hair (slightly embarrassed to admit that this was the last time I got my hair cut until very recently). Chlorine, salt and wind were all part of an amazing summer, but they’d taken their toll on my locks and my hair was feeling less than healthy. So, I got a trim (by my soon-to-be mother-in-law, no less!) and started using the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil collection to get my hair back to its healthy shine.
I’m loving how healthy my hair feels! Soft waves are always in style (and always will be), so I used the Dove collection to achieve this look. After using the shampoo and conditioner, I towel-dried my hair and applied the Nourishing Treatment Oil. I let my hair air dry partially for about 15 minutes (my hair dries really fast), and when it was about halfway dry I pulled my hair back in a low ponytail that I wrapped my hair around itself into a bun. I secured the bun with a hair tie and then let my hair dry completely before taking it down. This is one of my favorite tricks to get soft waves in my hair without using heat—no curling iron or blow dryer!
I loved using this Dove collection because while it helped nourish and moisturize my hair, it didn’t weigh my hair down. Other products that I’ve tried in the past that claim to nourish and add shine to hair just end up making my hair look oily, which is not the look I’m going for.
The collection is great for all hair types, and now it’s your turn to get silky hair! Take the Dove Silky Hair Dare by trying Dove Pure Care Dry Oil by the end of the year, and share your results with #silkyhairdare. If you are not completely satisfied with the Dove Advanced Hair Series Pure Care Dry Oil system, Dove will refund your purchase (from 9/21 – 12/31). Visit hairmoneyback.com for details.
