2020 has been quite a year, and everyone’s mental health has taken a toll. So today I’m sharing some self-care gift ideas that I know your loved ones will appreciate. And don’t be afraid to buy some of these for yourself—it’s been a rough year and you deserve it!
This self-care gift guide is full of things that I either personally own and use on a regular basis for self-care, or they are things I’m buying for myself or others this holiday season. ‘Tis the season for wellness gifts that make life a little bit better!
Self-Care Gift Ideas
I've been using the Headspace app for years. It's the best way to get into a meditation groove, whether you're a beginner just starting out or you're a pro looking for longer, guided sessions. A year-long subscription is currently 30% off on their website.
I've recently gotten into a daily CBD routine with Equilibria's products and the results are so good I just want to shout it from the rooftops. The biggest improvement I've noticed is with my sleep—I am so well-rested that I've consistently been waking up before my alarm. Which is pretty much unheard of for me because I am not a morning person. So that has been huge!
Along with that, my mood throughout the day feels more even-keeled and I'm able to take on life's daily stress with a little more grace. Equilibria has been such a gamechanger for me. If you or any people in your life are struggling with stress, anxiety, or sleepless nights, Equilibria is the perfect gift. I do the drops during the day and a soft gel at night.
They also have some really cute gift sets available. If your gift receiver has never tried CBD before, don't worry, every purchase comes with a complimentary phone consultation with a dosage specialist. Super helpful and it will get them started on the right foot for their new routine!
Be sure to use my code WTFAB for 15% off (new customers only). And do the subscription option for an additional 20% savings (you can cancel any time).
L'Occitane has so many festive gift sets this year! The At-Home Manicure Set is perfect for someone looking to treat themselves by doing a spa-like mani at home. The set contains a hand scrub, shea butter hand cream, and a nourishing nail and cuticle oil. Their Almond Collection is another luxe gift option that's perfect for all ages. Almond is one of my favorite scents—it's so warm, comforting, and delicious. This gift set has a bunch of L'Occitane's best sellers. Ok, one more lovely gift option from L'Occitane: Their Lavender Collection. This one is perfect for the traveler who's been stuck at home this year—it'll transport them to the Lavender fields of Provence, right from their home. Give them a spa moment with soothing aromas that will fill their bathroom with a calming ambiance.
I have multiple oil diffusers in my home lol. I just love them so much for setting the mood and a calming atmosphere. If you're looking for something both functional and pretty, the Vitruvi essential oil diffuser is so chic and minimalist. And they have tons of essential oils to choose from.
We could all use a little extra movement and stretching right now! These yoga mats from Alo are perfectly cushioned and I'm in love with the rose quartz color. It has a no-slip grip and is currently on sale for 20% off!
Weighted blankets are great for curbing anxiety. There's something about them that just makes you feel very...held lol.
Love a cute water bottle and I have several BKR bottles at home! They have so many fun colors and designs and they look great on your desk or on the go. I have a large one that I fill up in the morning and again in the afternoon. If I drink two of them, I know I've gotten enough water throughout the day.
Have you heard of red light therapy? It's supposed to have tons of healing benefits for your skin and body, as well as your mood and energy. Rock salt lamps are said to release negative ions into your space, purifying your space. While I don't know about all that, I do know I love turning mine on at night when I'm winding down and getting ready for bed. I use my rock salt lamps instead of regular lights to avoid blue light and create a calming atmosphere. This one comes in a set of 2, perfect for one on each nightstand in your bedroom.
The Theragun Mini is my latest gift to myself and I am obsessed with this thing. I'd been wanting a Theragun ever since I tried one out at Barry's, but the price tag is a bit high ($600??). The mini is much more reasonable and is on sale on QVC for $175. Plus, it comes with different massager attachments (all of these pieces separately retail for $229). New customers can also use code OFFER for an additional $10 off. The Theragun Mini has been amazing for my lower back pain! I use it all over my quads, hamstrings, and glutes and it relieves so much tension and tightness in my lower back, which is something I always have issues with. Omied loves it when I use the Theragun on his upper back and his feet (lol).
Love a good bath caddy! Especially this one on Amazon because it has a spot specifically for your wine glass. Perfect. You could do something really cute and make a whole bath-themed package including a caddy, bath bombs, bubble bath, bottle of wine, candles, etc.! Sounds like my kind of self-care night.
Who doesn't love a monthly subscription box? Crate Joy has a bunch of self-care subscription box options, so your gift receiver can take their gifts into the new year with them.
Journaling and reflecting are great tools for self-care and growth, but it can be hard to know where to start if you're not really into journaling. This little book gives you space to set intentions, check in with yourself, reflect on gratitude, etc.
Those are all my ideas for self-care gifts! Even during a normal year, we could all use a little extra self-care. But especially during this panny, these types of self-care gifts are thoughtful and useful for anyone on your nice list. 😉
