Garza Blanca Los Cabos: Where Family-Friendly Meets Luxury

If you’re planning a trip to Cabo and looking for a resort that offers both high-end luxury and family-friendly amenities, Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Los Cabos checks all the boxes. This dreamy beachfront property blends stunning design with incredible service, gourmet dining, and thoughtful touches for both couples and families. We recently stayed here and I’m excited to share all the details of our experience—from the serene pools to the in-suite perks that made traveling with a one-year-old so much easier.

Garza Blanca is part of the TAFER Hotels & Resorts portfolio, a collection of upscale, design-forward resorts in Mexico known for elevated service and stunning architecture. TAFER has sister Garza Blanca properties in Puerto Vallarta and Cancun, along with other luxury offerings like the adults-only Hotel Mousai and Villa del Palmar. So it’s no surprise that our stay in Cabo blended five-star comfort with thoughtful details, perfect for both couples and families.

Location

Garza Blanca Cabo is perfectly situated along the Tourist Corridor. It’s just a 30-minute drive from the Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), which made getting there with our little one stress-free. As soon as we pulled up to the property, we were greeted with ocean views, warm hospitality, and refreshing welcome drinks and cold towels. The resort’s architecture and design feel both modern and serene—think sleek lines mixed with ocean-inspired tones, with plenty of inspiration from the sea.

Accommodations

We stayed in a One-Bedroom Suite and were immediately impressed by how spacious it was. The suite included a full kitchen, washer and dryer, a huge master bathroom, a second full bathroom, and a large balcony with ocean views (and a hammock!) that made every sunrise feel like a moment out of a movie.

For families, this setup is absolutely ideal. We had plenty of room for all of Roman’s things (and ours), and the washer/dryer was a lifesaver after sandy beach days. The design was elevated and chic, with thoughtful touches like a Nespresso machine, plush robes, and luxurious L’Occitane toiletries.

Service

The service at Garza Blanca was absolutely top-notch.

I’ve stayed at resorts before where they tell you that you get a butler, but the butler just turns out to be some guy who occasionally texts you back. Not the case here!

Our butler team was incredible. We’d text them on WhatsApp for anything we needed—room service, a refill on Nespresso pods, housekeeping, etc.—and they would respond within minutes. They were so on it and really helped make our stay enjoyable.

Amenities & Facilities

Pools & Beach

One of the standout features of Garza Blanca Cabo is the eight heated pools spread throughout the property. The rooftop adults-only infinity pool has incredible ocean views, perfect for a parents-only escape once our nanny arrived for the second half of our trip.

Aside from the rooftop pool, all the other pools are family-friendly. There’s even a splash pad and shallow pool zone for kids, and Roman had an absolute blast there!

And of course can’t forget about the swim up bar—we looove a swim up bar!

The resort is beachfront, and while the ocean here isn’t really swimmable due to the rough waves, the setup is perfect for lounging with umbrellas, attentive service, and soft white sand. Many resorts in Cabo are on a rocky beach that you can’t walk along, so this was lovely! It was Roman’s first time walking in the sand, which was absolutely adorable.

Dining & Drinks

The food at Garza Blanca was a major highlight for us! We’re foodies, after all. You have the option of doing all-inclusive or not, and we did all-inclusive. IMO, that was def the way to go!

There are several different restaurants on the property, and since I know y’all love the details, I’m giving them to you here!

Hiroshi: This was our favorite! Hiroshi features Japanese cuisine, with some Mexican flavors infused in there. We had absolutely delicious hamachi sashimi and nigiri, yummy rolls, and a killer ribeye teriyaki. We loved it so much we came back a second night.

Bocados Steak House: Modern steakhouse. Get the aged ribeye, yum!!

NOI: Gorgeous rooftop dining and yummy Italian food. If we had an extra nigh we would have gone back here again to try different things. Try to make your reservation for sunset so you can enjoy rooftop drinks while the sun goes down and then a beautifully lit terrace dinner.

Beach Truck Seafood Bar: Besides poolside service, this is the only restaurant open for lunch. They have great seafood options—think fish tacos, ceviche, etc. And it’s right on the beach which is fun.

Blanca Blue: This one is Mexican cuisine, and it was probably our least favorite restaurant. It was just the least interesting of all the options.

In-room dining is also part of the all-inclusive plan, so we enjoyed that one morning on our balcony.

The breakfast buffet was also fire. The buffet itself was huge, with tons of options. And there was also an omelette bar (don’t miss the salsa bar next to it, omg my mouth is watering thinking of the black habanero), a quesadilla station (I had a fresh-made quesadilla every morning!), and a crepes/pancake station.

The drinks that were included in the all-inclusive plan were great. We had delicious margaritas, mezcalitas, pina coladas, and mudslides all week long.

Spa

Spa Imagine on the property is absolutely gorgeous and serene. Omied and I booked a couple’s massage, and it was pure bliss. The spa also features a Hydrotherapy Circuit, which was soo cool. It features different hot and cold therapy stations like saunas, a cold plunge, pulsing jets, and waterfalls.

The view from the spa is also insanely beautiful. Between our treatments, the hydrotherapy circuit, and just relaxing and enjoying the view, we spent a lovely afternoon here!

Gym & Fitness

If you’re in the mood to balance indulgence with some movement, there’s a fully equipped fitness center, plus daily yoga and wellness classes.

I did paddleboard yoga at the pool one morning—so hard lol let me tell you, doing a bird dog while trying to balance in the water is not easy! I also did pilates another morning, and it felt great to move my body.

Family-Friendly Features

Traveling with a baby is no small feat, but Garza Blanca made it as easy as possible. They provided a crib, baby robe, stuffed animals, and a high chair in our room for us. For older kids, there’s also a kids’ club on-site with supervised activities.

Garza Blanca Cabo felt like the perfect mix of relaxation and indulgence, with just the right amount of kid-friendly features to make our stay smooth and enjoyable as a family. Whether you’re planning a romantic escape, a family getaway, or your first big trip with a little one, this resort delivers on style, service, and substance.

Would we go back? In a heartbeat! But now I’m also curious to check out TAFER’s other properties like Hotel Mousai in PV.

Thank you to Garza Blanca Cabo for the incredible stay!
