I’m finally writing up a whole Dermapore review after using it for the last few months and sharing it on Stories! If you are one of those people who finds it super satisfying to do extractions on your face (and maybe your partner’s face too, if you’re anything like me 😜) and to get all the crap out of your pores, you are going to love the Dermaflash Dermapore!

My list of favorite at-home skincare devices is steadily growing, and the Dermapore pore extractor is definitely high up on there. Here’s a great vid showing how the Dermapore unclogs your pores.
The Dermapore is a small, handheld device that’s light and easy to store (this was really important to me back when I was in our small apartment with not a whole lot of bathroom cabinet space!).
It comes in several different colors, and I bought the pink one. It comes with a clear cap (which I don’t really use) a stand for charging (don’t really use that either) and a charging cable (that one I do use). You’ll need to have your own plug to stick the USB end of the cable into so that you can use an outlet.
The Dermapore is an at-home skincare tool created by the company Dermaflash. It is both a pore extractor and a serum infuser, however I think the extract mode is really the best part about this device.
Dermapore Review: Extract Mode
In extract mode, the Dermapore uses pressure and ultrasonic pulses to help unclog your pores and remove dirt, oil, and blackheads. The very first time I used the Dermapore, it extracted some stuff, but it wasn’t anything crazy. The second time I used the Dermapore, I used it after taking a hot shower and that definitely made a big difference, because my pores were wide open and ready for the taking. 😂
Pro Tip: Use the Dermapore after a hot shower, when your pores are open!
To prep my skin, I wash my face, take a hot shower, and then use a gentle exfoliator to clear the way of that first layer of dead skin. Then I get my face steamer going so I can keep my pores open while I’m using the Dermapore.
When you’re using the Dermapore you also want to make sure that you’re keeping your face wet the whole time. This is important because the ultrasonic waves are using the water to help get stuff out of your pores. As you glide the Dermapore along your skin, you can see a fine mist coming off of it, and that’s the water that is being shot down and back out of your pores.
I work in sections and do my forehead, and then one side of my face starting with the cheek, chin, and then nose (the most satisfying part where I usually have the most blackheads—lol I save the best for last). Then I finish up with the other side. I continuously add water to each section as I go and use my free hand to hold my skin taut.
I particularly see stuff come out around my nose, my cheeks near my nose, and my chin. It’s soo satisfying to physically see this little ultrasonic pore extractor device removing dirt and stuff from my skin.
Here’s another video from Dermaflash’s Insta that shows how well the Dermapore cleans out your pores.
After using extract mode, my skin is a bit red, but this usually goes away within 30 minutes or so. I typically use this product at night, once or twice a week. It’s gentle enough that you could use it every other night if you wanted to.
Dermapore Review: Infuse Mode
By flipping the Dermapore around and using the infuse mode, Dermapore helps improve the penetration of your serums and the active ingredients in them. I’ve used the infuse mode a few times, but it’s hard to tell if it’s working or makes any difference. Like I said, I think the extract mode is where it’s at! But the infuse mode is easy to use, so why not?
To take care of this product, make sure that you don’t submerge it under water. I wipe it off after use and spritz with alcohol to disinfect.
The Dermapore sells for $99, and occasionally you can find it on sale on sites like QVC for 20% off. And if you don’t want to pay that much, there’s a more affordably priced version for a very similar beauty tool on Amazon. My sister got this one because she didn’t want to shell out for the Dermapore, and she said she really likes it. It also has great reviews on Amazon.
Whichever one you go with, just know it’s going to become an essential part of your skin care regimen! By cleaning out your pores, you’re able to reduce the visible size of your pores and have smoother, softer skin.
Oh and btw, I highly recommend using the Dermapore on your man. Men tend to have bigger pores in general so it is satisfying af to clean them out! Omied is probably going to be mortified that I’m revealing this but we really gave his pores a good cleaning. Hopefully he’ll let me continue to use the Dermapore on him once a week.
I’ve already had a few follwers over on Insta DM me saying they tried the Dermapore and they’re loving it, so I thought a full Dermapore review would be helpful for anyone who’s on the fence about buying it. If you give it a try definitely let me know! The Dermapore would also make an amazing gift for any skincare junky in your life.
