Sharing a round-up of dreamy cabins and the best Airbnbs in Big Bear!
If you’re based in or heading to Southern California, you’ve got so many options for vacay spots. Places like Palm Springs, San Diego, or Malibu. But there are plenty of other places to discover, like Big Bear.
With lakes, ski resorts, and some prime hiking, getting out of the city and away from traffic has never been more beautiful.
Though you may be able to nab some travel deals for hotels in the area, this sort of experience doesn’t compare at all to staying in an Airbnb. There are some absolutely gorgeous places to base yourself in this beaut of a location.
So, check out my curated list of my very favorite Airbnbs in Big Bear and start your vacation the right way (in an awesome property, obviously).
The Best Airbnbs in Big Bear
This place is so cute! It's not your run of the mill Bear Lake cabin and has a ton of cozy creature comforts going for it. I love the snug area—complete with a cozy swing seat!
This A-frame cabin also boasts a deck, which makes for a super chilled place to kick back in the evening after a day of exploring the natural beauty of this area. Add to that a very affordable price, and this is a sure bet.
Up to 4 guests // 2 bedrooms // 2 beds // 3 baths. Prices from $145 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
This cabin is so luxurious, and I'm here for it. It's always cool to see a rustic and rural style of accommodation that's been totally renovated inside to look chic and uber stylish.
The living room is suitably filled with eclectic furniture and has (of course) an indoor fireplace for those chilly evenings. And yes—there's a game room with a pool table here, too. The location, near to Snow Summit Ski Resort, is also awesome.
Up to 10 guests // 2 bedrooms // 6 beds // 2 baths. Prices from $265 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
Ok, I call dibs on this one. Ultra stylish and dripping with classic retro touches, this is one of my favorite Bear Mountain cabin rentals ever. Everything from the master bedroom to the laid-back living spaces is effortlessly oozing with vintage-meets-retro cool.
More like something out of the pages of a magazine than something you could actually find on Airbnb, this place is lovely. It's got literally everything you need for a comfy stay—and then some.
Up to 11 guests // 3 bedrooms // 8 beds // 3 baths. Prices from $289 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
For something a little more traditional—but no less beautifully polished— this cozy property should be just the ticket. This is a 1940s cabin with some real luster in its historic features, all pointing back to the heritage of Big Bear Lake as a prime vacay destination.
And if you like your vacation rentals to not be in the absolute middle of nowhere, you'll be happy to note that this place is an easy walk from cafes and other amenities. And the lake is just on the doorstep. A win-win in my books!
Up to 4 guests // 1 bedrooms // 2 beds // 1 baths. Prices from $164 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
A wonderfully renovated property, this place is a gorgeously up-to-date take on the traditional A-frame cabins that populate this area. Definitely, the place to book if you like your furnishings soft and your aesthetic understated!
And yes—the view from the huge and ornately designed windows here is awesome.
But of course, staying here doesn't just mean luxuriating in a beautiful Airbnb. It also means being close to everything the mountain and the lake (it's near Lake Arrowhead btw) can offer.
Up to 5 guests // 2 bedrooms // 3 beds // 1 baths. Prices from $186 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
This place is one of the best Airbnb rentals you can find in Big Bear. Not only are there hiking trails within walking distance of this gorgeous cabin, but it looks the part, too.
It's a classic Big Bear cabin, and that means warm and welcoming, comfortable, and cozy. Inside, the whole place is decked out with wood interiors, cane chairs, a rain shower, and a fireplace for warming up on cold evenings.
You could always kick back on the swing seat in front of the outdoor fire pit! Your choice!
Up to 2 guests // 1 bedrooms // 1 beds // 1 baths. Prices from $158 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
A relaxed place to stay, this cozy cabin is a perfect choice, whether you're thinking of hitting a ski resort or visiting in summer for prime hiking.
It comes with a fully equipped, fully stocked kitchen, as well as a bath for luxurious evenings in.
There's plenty more in store if you book this place. I'm talking foosball table, outdoor hot tub, indoor fireplace, plenty of room to spread out, and comfy furnishings. Perfect for groups or families.
Up to 7 guests // 3 bedrooms // 5 beds // 2 baths. Prices from $279 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
This eclectic and boutique-style cabin is one of the cutest rentals you could choose in Bear Lake. With a per night price that makes it an absolute steal if you're traveling with a group of friends, it's also totally worth it.
There's enough room for everyone to have a comfortable stay, with stylish furnishings, places to kick back and relax, a full kitchen, dining set, and deck to admire the night sky and catch a breath of fresh mountain air. Can't beat it!
Up to 4 guests // 1 bedrooms // 2 beds // 1 baths. Prices from $175 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
