Cruises are one of my favorite ways to relax on a vacation. So when I heard about the Virgin Beach Club at Bimini, a luxurious beachfront resort, I knew that it was the perfect destination for my summer travels.
Located in the Bahamas, this stunning oasis provides an escape from reality and all of your worries with its beautiful white sand beaches and crystal clear waters. It boasts luxury amenities such as a poolside bar, world-class restaurants, and Bimini beach cabanas. There are also plenty of activities to enjoy, such as beach volleyball, kayaking, snorkeling, and parasailing.

When the sun sets and the stars come out, the nightlife is equally as exciting with live music performances, DJs spinning tunes all night, and multiple clubs offering different experiences. No matter your taste, there’s something for everyone at the Virgin Beach Club.
As soon as I heard about this slice of paradise I just had to know how to get there and lucky for you, I got all of the answers! So let’s cruise into my guide to the Virgin Beach Club at Bimini Bahamas.

What is the Virgin Beach Club?
First and foremost, what is this place? The Virgin Beach Club is a luxurious beachfront resort located in the beautiful Bahamas. It’s inside Resorts World Bimini and offers a unique private beach club

The Virgin Beach Club is located on the waterfront of this complex and provides guests with an exclusive and luxurious experience.
It also boasts beautiful white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, and luxury amenities such as an expansive poolside bar, modern spa services, world-class restaurants, beach cabanas, and much more.
How to Get There
Because the beach club is known as a private resort and beach area for Virgin Voyager members, you’ll want to book a stay on one of their cruise ships. I highly recommend the Scarlet Lady cruise ship!
The best boat ride to get there is via a cruise ship from Miami. The trip takes about two and a half hours before arriving at the breathtaking North Bimini island which is where you’ll find the cruise port leading you to the Virgin Beach Club.
Once you arrive, getting to the beach club is very simple. You’ll exit the ship and a Resorts World tram will pick you up at the loading dock and take you on the journey down to their stunning properties and dreamy exclusive beach club.
Side note: If you’d like to explore something other than Resorts World, walk off the pier and turn right. There, you’ll discover Bimini town with local eateries, dive stores, and an array of one-of-a-kind shops.
Usually, ships arrive in the morning and remain until late at night, giving you plenty of time to admire a beautiful sunset while simultaneously taking part in various nighttime activities such as dance parties in the moonlight and bonfires before boarding back on the ship.
How to Gain Access
As mentioned, the best way to gain access is by becoming a Virgin Voyage member. With that membership comes exclusive benefits such as free or discounted cruises and access to the beach club.
Although the beach club is intended for members only, Resorts World Bimini offers day packages that provide access to the beach club. These packages are flexible and include a variety of amenities within the resort world.
Things to Do
Virgin Voyages’ visitors (referred to as sailors) will be blown away by the extravagant ambiance of the Beach Club. This is an upscale beach resort, offering luxurious opportunities such as relaxing in lounge chairs on a personal beach and sipping yummy cocktails at one of its many bars.
The number of pina coladas you can indulge in is pretty much limitless, and I’m here for it!
With six bars across the resort, you can guarantee a spot to relax with your beverage of choice. Unwind in one of the luxuriously comfortable booths or swing away in a wicker chair as you look out over the lagoon-style pool. Alternatively, if it’s just pure relaxation that you’re seeking then why not lay back and drift off into serenity while lounging on a hammock?
While I love a good beach day, sometimes I really just can’t be bothered with the sand. So it was a huge win having a pool to cool off in.
Maybe you’ve been lounging a lot on board and are wanting to explore the ocean, no stress. There’s a shack nearby that offers water sports rentals for shore excursions such as snorkeling and paddle boarding.
And for those seeking an even more thrilling adventure, a trip out to SS Sapona is highly recommended. This century-old World War I vessel ran aground during a hurricane in the 1920s and has remained there ever since. You can explore the wildlife-filled underwater world around it, and even climb the vessel itself.
During the day, the beach club has so many activities to occupy your time, such as live music performances and BBQs with delicious eats.
The nightlife scene of Bimini is also something you don’t want to miss out on! Head down to the Disco Bar by the pool and dance away under the stars. It’s a different atmosphere altogether, but it’s just as much fun.
What’s Included
I know what you’re thinking, a cruise ship comes with a lot of amenities. But the Virgin Beach Club is on a whole different level. It feels like your own private island that comes with complimentary towels, umbrellas, and beach chairs. There’s also an on-site snack bar to help you keep your energy up throughout the day.
Virgin sailors staying at the Beach Club during the day can access complimentary food, including conch fritters, sandwiches, and fruit salads. The Beach Club also hosts evening BBQs with a full DJ and a dance floor to enjoy this tropical paradise.
Unfortunately, drinks are not included and must be purchased separately. You have the option of using a credit card or paying your bar tab in US dollars at the resort.
Are Cabanas Included?
For only $350, you can rent a cabana at The Beach Club to enjoy the day with your own dedicated staff member, plus complimentary towels, and cozy beach beds. It’s so dreamy.
You can also access the pool area from your cabana—it’s like having your own personal paradise! Plus, you’ll get to enjoy exclusive discounts on food and beverages and if you want a spa treatment, the masseuse will come straight to you.
The cabanas come in different sizes, depending on how many people are staying with you. But no matter what size you need, I guarantee that you and your guests will be living the high life!
Who All Can Use the Beach Club
As I mentioned, Virgin Beach Club is intended for members of the Virgin Voyages, but Resorts World Bimini also offers day packages when a Virgin cruise ship isn’t docked.
It’s also only available for 18+ which is fine considering Virgin Voyages is an adult-only cruise ship. I really appreciated that about this beach club, it instantly took it from feeling like spring break in Daytona to a luxurious weekend in Ibiza.
Virgin Voyages is one of the only cruise lines with access to the exclusive Beach Club in Bimini. But, Carnival, Disney cruise line, Celebrity, Norwegian cruise line, Holland America, and Royal Caribbean all visit this destination as well.
With all of the hustle and bustle, having access to a place like the Bimini Beach Club is invaluable – you’ll be able to relax and get away from large crowds with ease.
To take exclusivity a step further, for those with RockStar Suites on Virgin’s ships, you’ll have an exceptional terrace section at Richard’s Retreat available. This one-of-a-kind area features loungers, music by a dedicated DJ and bar service, food delivery at your fingertips, and cabanas in the private beach area to enjoy.
