New Jersey may not be the no.1 vacation destination in the United States right now, but there’s more going for it than you might expect. Not least Wildwood, a city with a fun boardwalk, great beaches, and charming marinas.
Staying here puts you in a good position to see other stuff, with Rehoboth Beach and its theme parks in easy reach by ferry, and Ocean City around an hour and a half away. You could even make it part of an east coast road trip!
And I’ve got some awesome Airbnbs for you to check out in Wildwood—you’ll find a list of my favorites below. So forget the hotels and enjoy the privacy and freedom of your very own temporary home!
A charming property with a classic front porch to match, this is a great place to get your Wildwood vacation off to a great start. The visuals are great—the polished living room with its houseplants and laid-back kitchen make for a stylish place to be.
The location is also excellent. It's walking distance to the beach and boardwalk, which is fun to explore on the tram. Spend your days exploring what Wildwood has to offer then ride the tram back to this chilled-out home before planning your nights out (or in).
If you like your vacation rentals to be pretty much waterside, then you'll love this place. This North Wildwood property is set just across the street from the beach, meaning you can make the most of your sun, sea, and sand vacay.
The beachy interiors are simple and chic featuring comfy furnishings, all wrapped up in a calming, neutral color palette. Enjoy time simply relaxing on the deck with that gorgeous ocean breeze, or use this place as a base while you spend literally all your time on the beach. It's a great option.
Charming certainly is the right word here! Situated slightly south in Wildwood Crest, this vacation rental is pretty much the perfect location for beach-lovers. The sea is just a block and a half away, which is super convenient.
The interiors here are boutique style, with an eclectic mix of furnishings and pieces that have accents of sea-blues and beach-whites. Then there are the perks—the free wifi, the huge deck, the outdoor seating area, the big TV, and the fully equipped kitchen. It's all here!
This house is one chic and laid-back place to be. Natural colors make the atmosphere a calming one, and stylish, carefully curated furnishings and clean lines make it a great choice for guests with an eye for design.
This North Wildwood property also comes with a private front porch and patio—which is where you'll find the grill. This area really sells it for me. It's the best place to relax into the evening after a tiring day at the beach.
If you're looking for a proper getaway where you can enjoy the Jersey Shore and everything it has to offer, you may want to note this vacation rental down. It's pet-friendly and has enough space for a family wanting some time to unwind.
The place feels like a home away from home, really, with lots of comfy furnishings and a cool color scheme that suits the seaside vibe of this area. It comes with literally everything you need, including shower/bath essentials and coffee/tea!
Minimally designed, the calm atmosphere of this Airbnb's whitewashed interiors—coupled with sea-blue accents—makes a great place to stay in Wildwood. This apartment has great reviews for its host, which is always a plus.
If you're looking for rentals in the area that would be great for you and your friends, look no further. Splitting the cost between four of you makes this place super affordable. What makes it even more amazing is how close it is to all the seaside scenery of the boardwalk.
Spacious and with a great location, I love how open plan this place is. There's tons of room here, with a cute dining area as well as an outdoor terrace—the perfect venue for breakfasts, brunches, and evening drinks.
Set literally on the water itself, this place has a view of the harbor and the glittering ocean. But for me, one of the best things is the pool. Very chill. The marina here also has eateries to try out.
A newly updated condo with a pretty good price per night, this Airbnb is perfect if you want to be near the sea. It's basically right on the beach. And it has some pretty amazing views—especially when it comes to sunset.
With a pool that guests can use, a location that puts it close to all the fun of the boardwalk, and cute decor throughout, it's a great choice for your Wildwood vacay.
So there you go—if you want a chill time soaking up the coastal vibes of Wildwood, those Airbnbs should be more than enough to get you started. Make sure to tag me in your Insta pics and stories (@wtfab) when you go—I love a bit of a seaside vibe!
