1. Meisterschueler Bar
Meisterschueler Bar, located in the Berlin Mitte area, is a unique space that transforms from a stylish art gallery during the day to a vibrant riverside bar at night.
The location of this bar provides stunning views of the Spree River from the rooftop terrace, and the gallery contains plenty of unique pieces to admire after dark.
Meisterschueler has an entire menu of innovative cocktails that cater to all tastes and preferences.
With a fun and artsy atmosphere, you’ll enjoy your time at Meisterschueler the second you walk through the doors.
The bartenders at Meisterschueler are highly skilled and take their craft seriously, so every drink is expertly made.
2. Gallery Rooftop Bar
Gallery Rooftop Bar at Hotel Indigo Berlin is a chic bar renowned for its off-the-chart gin and tonic, varied menu of handcrafted cocktails, and yummy food.
You’ll have some of the best panoramic views of the picturesque Spree River from Gallery Rooftop Bar, so it’s best to visit during the day when you can fully appreciate the scenery.
Despite its luxurious ambiance, the dress code is casual, so there’s no need to worry about arriving underdressed.
I will say, the prices at this Berlin rooftop bar are on the higher end, so prepare yourself (and your wallet) in advance!
3. The Rooftop Terrace at Hotel De Rome
One of the best rooftop bars Berlin has to offer is The Rooftop Terrace at Hotel de Rome, which can be found in the heart of the city.
From stunning views of the city skyline to modern decor, Rooftop Terrace is a popular downtown bar situated atop Rocco Forte Hotel de Rome.
Drinks can be expensive but are 100% worth it, especially the champagne cocktails—I love the French 75 during summer because it’s crisp and refreshing.
If you want to avoid the crowds, stop by The Rooftop Terrace at Hotel de Rome for lunch and an afternoon cocktail—not many bars in Berlin are open during the day, but The Rooftop Terrace tends to stay pretty lowkey until the sun goes down.
This rooftop bar is also centrally located near popular Berlin attractions like the famous Bebelplatz, the State Opera, and the Berlin Cathedral.
4. AMANO Rooftop Bar
Many visitors to Berlin tend to overlook the lovely AMANO Rooftop Bar, located at Hotel AMANO Rooms & Apartments on Augustrasse.
I can’t believe how underrated this spot is—after visiting, I now consider it one of the top Berlin rooftop bars!
You’ll enjoy stunning views of the Berlin TV Tower while sipping on delicious cocktails and enjoying a laidback night with loved ones.
I recommend reserving a table at AMANO in advance as it can be difficult to find seating, especially on weekends.
5. Monkey Bar
As I was researching the best rooftop bars in Berlin, I kept coming across Monkey Bar at 25Hours Hotel Bikini Berlin, and it’s easy to see why.
Monkey Bar offers a panoramic view of Berlin and the Berlin Zoo—hence the bar’s name!
This rooftop bar has a trendy vibe with cozy-chic decor and a variety of delicious wines, beers, and creative concoctions.
Once you’ve wrapped up your evening of drinks, grab some tasty bar bites at NENI Berlin, located just steps away from Monkey Bar.
Live DJs perform most nights at Monkey Bar and the space is always crowded thanks to its fun reputation. It’s impossible to visit and not have a good time!
6. Klunkerkranich
Berlin’s Neukölln area is known for being ultra hip and trendy, and Klunkerkranich perfectly complements the unique and artsy environment.
You can find this popular hangout at the top of a local shopping center, and the bar features lush greenery, picnic benches, and a casual, welcoming vibe.
This rooftop bar is ideal for afternoon drinks or snacks before sunset, since it does get busy after dark thanks to the reasonable drink prices and a young crowd of regulars.
Once the DJs start playing for the night it can be hard to find a table, so snag your spot while the sun is still up.
7. Grace Rooftop Bar
It’s hard to pick a favorite rooftop bar in Berlin, but Grace Rooftop Bar at Hotel Zoo is definitely up there!
This beautiful spot is perfect for summer when temperatures are comfortable and warm and the sun is shining on Berlin.
One of my favorite things about Grace Rooftop Bar is its combination of comfortable couches, greenery, and stunning views of the trendy Charlottenburg neighborhood.
Enjoy unique handcrafted cocktails with unusual flavor combinations while basking in the sun—there’s nothing like it.
Keep in mind that this bar is only open during the summer months, so check to make sure it’s open before planning a visit.
8. Cloud One Bar Berlin-Upper West
There are a few Cloud One Bars in Berlin, but the Upper West location is my favorite for its stunning views of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.
Plus, this location atop Motel One Upper West tends to be less crowded than others in town.
When the weather is at its best, enjoy impressive Berlin skyline views from the beautiful outdoor roof terrace, an ideal spot to relax and have a few drinks with friends, family, or a romantic partner.
In addition to tasty cocktails, Cloud One Bar also serves a variety of beers and wines, so everyone can find something to enjoy.
This hidden gem of a rooftop bar is well-loved among locals, and I’m sure it’ll be a hit with you, too.

This rooftop bar has a somewhat industrial look with wooden furniture and greenery accents—it’s a trendy and aesthetic spot that’s perfect for grabbing some sunset drinks with old and new friends.
Head to Roof Garden if you’re looking to dance the night away, since internationally-renowned DJs take over the space once the sun goes down, transforming it into an open-air club.
