I’ve been using Drunk Elephant for years now and believe me when I tell you that they have some of the best skincare products out there. Since I’ve tried most of their products, I’m sharing one of the most in-depth Drunk Elephant reviews.
If you’re curious about what my current skincare routine is, you can check out my Skincare After 30 guide here.
Prior to using Drunk Elephant, I struggled with some acne and occasionally cystic acne. I also occasionally get dry skin patches, which is the most uncomfortable feeling. No one likes a flakey patch on their nose!
I take my skin and skincare routine seriously. So when I was looking for skin care products to incorporate into my lineup they had to be clean, effective, and gentle.
I’ve experimented with a lot of products, and Drunk Elephant has become one of my favorite skincare brands. So, I’ll be sharing all of my holy grail Drunk Elephant skin care products with you.
About the Brand
Drunk Elephant was founded by Tiffany Masterson who struggled with combination, oily, sensitive, and mild rosacea. Through her process of finding the perfect skincare products, she discovered 6 suspicious ingredients that she thought were the root of her problems.
Since she couldn’t find any products without those 6 suspicious ingredients, she decided to make them which is now Drunk Elephant. All the Drunk Elephant products are the perfect balance between natural and synthetic ingredients.
When you’re reading through Drunk Elephant reviews, their commitment to using ingredients without the suspicious six is a common theme and one of the many reasons why I love this brand so much!
Drunk Elephant Reviews: Top 10 Products
1. Virgin Marula Luxury Oil
Starting off strong with my favorite face oil ever—the Virgin Marula Luxury Oil. I love to incorporate this facial oil at night after I’ve finished my complete nighttime skincare routine.
This marula oil completely rehydrates and rejuvenates your skin overnight—it’s my miracle product. This oil also makes a really great facial oil before you Gua Sha your face.
I love that it’s made with pure marula fruit that is free of any chemical or synthetic ingredients. The marula oil is also gentle enough for sensitive skin.
You can say goodbye to fine lines and wrinkles after using this product. It absorbs so quickly into the skin—it’s like giving your skin ultra hydration.
With that being said, Drunk Elephant just launched their new A-Gloei Maretinol Oil that’s filled with antioxidants and skin-smoothing retinol. This oil is super similar to the Virgin Marula Luxury Oil with the only difference being is the A-Gloei oil targets blemished, textured, and aging skin—you really can’t go wrong with Drunk Elephant’s facial oils.
2. B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum
The B – Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum will become your best friend if you struggle with dry skin or you’re looking for an ultra-hydrating serum to keep your skin plump—it’s like giving your skin a thirst-quenching glass of water.
I love using this serum after I’ve cleansed and toned my face. This serum helps replenish and brighten my skin to hold moisture all day long.
It’s made with pro-vitamin B5 and pineapple ceramide which all helps with reducing dryness and fine lines. I also really appreciate that this formula can easily absorb into the skin without disrupting your skin’s natural pH too much.
I highly recommend applying the B-Hydra to your neck, chest, and hands as well—a little of this product can go a long way.
3. Lala Retro Whipped Cream
The Lala Retro Whipped Cream is an overall really great facial moisturizer that helps replenish your skin’s barrier and defends against everyday stressors.
I love this moisturizer on my dry skin because it acts like a rescue cream. It’s made with 6 African oils and a plant ceramide complex that helps with aging and retains long-lasting moisture.
The texture is thick but it absorbs quickly into the skin without feeling too oily or greasy. I like to use a pump of this at the end of my skincare routine to lock all the moisture and products in. It’s light enough that it’s become my go-to for my daytime moisturizer.
4. Slaai Makeup Melting Butter Cleanser
The Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup Melting Butter Cleanser is one of my favorite makeup removers. Over the years, I’ve learned that double cleansing is your best friend and the best way to really make sure you get off all of your makeup.
I love how gentle and effective this cleansing balm is because it never irritates my skin. I use this balm as my first step to my nighttime skincare routine.
As soon as you apply the balm to your skin, it instantly begins dissolving the dirt, makeup, and sunscreen on your face. Once you apply water, it instantly transforms from an oil base to a milky cleanser.
The best part about this cleansing balm is that it’s made with an African oil blend that’s loaded with antioxidants to help with any dry skin.
5. Protini Polypeptide Cream
If I’m not using the Lala Retro Whipped Cream, I’m definitely using this Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream. I love using this moisturizer in the spring and summertime when my skin is less dry.
You’ll find 9 signal peptides that are all made up of amino acids, which form proteins in your skin. The peptides help plump, firm, and restore elasticity.
After a few uses, you’ll begin to notice younger-looking skin with fewer lines, wrinkles, and signs of sun damage.
It applies very easily and is not too thick. All you need is one pump and your skin will be thanking you.
6. T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum
The T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum works amazing at resurfacing dull and congested skin. The serum lifts away dead skin cells, which dramatically improves the appearance of your skin’s tone, texture, fine lines, wrinkles, and pores.
If you’re a big fan of using AHA’s and BHA’s, you’re going to love this product so much. It’s formulated with glycolic, tartaric, lactic, citric, and salicylic acids.
The serum sinks into the skin easily and gives you a chemical exfoliation without any harsh side effects—no dryness or sensitivity. The next morning, you’ll wake up with a luminous and glowy complexion.
I like to use this serum as the final step to my skincare routine. I also think this serum would pair well with the A-Passioni Retinol Cream so you can get the full effect.
7. E-Rase Milki Micellar Water
If you don’t love using cleansing balms or you tend to get (a little) lazy when it comes to taking off your makeup, you’ll be a big of the E-Rase Milki Micellar Water. It’s a ceramide-rich makeup remover that does it all by removing dirt, pollution, and bacteria from your face.
It’s made to be a gentle remover so you won’t struggle with any sensitivity, irritation, or stripping of the skin. You can also use this micellar water as a quick skin refreshment since it’s loaded with antioxidants.
You’ll find a 3-ceramide blend, wild melon seed oil, Vitamin E, virgin marula oil, mongongo oil, baobab seed oil, and passionfruit oil.
8. T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial
The T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial is another one of my skincare miracle products—I love this stuff so much. Since my skin has calmed down recently, I love exfoliating with this Babyfacial once a week.
I’ll also frequently switch between the Babyfacial and the Glycolic serum, which both help with smoothing your skin’s texture and getting rid of dead skin cells.
I’ve also noticed that since using the Babyfacial, my skin absorbs other products better. I’m not kidding when I tell you that when you wake up in the morning your skin will be looking so much more youthful.
The Babyfacial minimizes the look of pores, fine lines, and wrinkles. The antioxidant blend in here will also make your skin feel and look baby soft.
9. Shaba Complex Eye Serum
The Shaba Complex Eye Serum is a powerhouse product that improves the look of aging, fine lines, wrinkles, and sun damage under the eyes. Using this serum every day will only make your under eyes look more youthful.
It’s made with a black tea ferment, niacinamide, copper peptides, and edelweiss stem cells that all work together to smooth the texture under the eyes. I also love that it helps against premature signs of aging from environmental aggressors while fading any age spots.
A little of this product goes a long way, so it’s definitely worth the investment because it lasts you a while. I also think this serum would pair really well with the C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream to get the full effects.
10. Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense SPF 30
I had to include one of my favorite everyday sunscreens, the Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense SPF 30. It blends so well under makeup and I like that it gives you some color on days you don’t want anything.
I also love that not only is it a mineral sunscreen, but it’s loaded with antioxidants and oils.
So while you’re getting sun protection, you’re also getting hydration and fewer fine lines and wrinkles. The best part is you don’t get any white cast or greasiness while applying it.
If you prefer untinted sunscreen then you would like the Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense SPF 30. The only thing to keep in mind is that it does leave a slight white cast leaving your skin looking pale.
Those were my Drunk Elephant reviews on my top favorite products. I love Drunk Elephant and hopefully, this convinced you to invest in some of their products so you can incorporate them into your skincare routine.
