Since moving to Napa, we finally have a big open kitchen that we love to cook in! With a bigger kitchen, that means new kitchen appliances, and finding the right ceramic frying pan to stock it with was important to me.
Seriously, nothing beats ceramic frying pans that are extremely nonstick to the point where you can fry an egg and flip it without worrying it’ll crack—trust me I know the struggle. When we first moved into our apartment in SF, we tried to really stick to a budget, which meant buying a few cheaper nonstick frying pans.
The lesson I’ve learned from this is that it’s better to just invest in a solid ceramic nonstick pan. You’ll end up saving more money in the long run because you won’t have to keep buying new fry pans.
I knew I wanted to invest in really nice ceramic cookware, but I wasn’t sure which ones were the best. I did a lot of research and testing, and put together this list of the best ceramic pans that are totally worth the price tag.
6 Best Ceramic Frying Pans
1. Always Pan by Our Place
I’m sure you’ve seen this pan all over your Instagram feed. It’s known as the influencer pan because literally, everyone was getting their hands on this famous colorful ceramic coated nonstick pan.
Their marketing and aesthetics are sooo good—I’m obsessed. Of course, I was a little skeptical at first but I did some more research and watched some reviews to get a better idea of how well this pan actually worked.
The reviews were all amazing and very convincing. Everyone said that the pan genuinely lives up to the hype.
This pan is a little on the pricier side at $145 but if you sign up for their email newsletter you’ll be on top of when they’re having their sales. They usually have a spring sale and holiday sale where you can get the pan for $115, which is such a good deal.
I got the Always Pan for Omied for his birthday this year and we love it!
With this pan, you’re getting the full package. It’s designed to replace 8 of your traditional pieces of cookware, which means you can say goodbye to needing a frying pan, saute pan, steamer, skillet, saucier, saucepan, non-stick pan, spatula, and spoon rest.
You can also do everything in this one pan like braise, sear, steam, strain, saute, fry, and boil. This pan is also made with a non-toxic healthy ceramic nonstick coating—you won’t find any FOAs, PTFEs, or other PFAs.
The best part is the stay-cool handle and built-in spoon rest. I loved this detail the most because it literally saves you from having to put your cooking utensils down on the counter and getting everything dirty.
I’m also in love with the convenience of the pour spouts and steamers on the sides of the pan to make disposing of liquids easier. The pan is so lightweight you won’t struggle to carry this at all while you’re cooking—the steamer basket is also a nice touch.
Unfortunately, the Always Pan is not oven safe so just stick to stovetop cooking if you want to preserve your pan. You can also keep your pan looking new if you avoid using metal utensils and wash your pan with a soft sponge.
Since this pan is made with heavy gauge cast aluminum it holds heat a little better than traditional stainless steel. So they recommend cooking on low to medium heat.
If it wasn’t obvious, I opted to get the Always Pan and it has been the best cooking investment ever. I love this pan so much and we’ve made so many delicious meals with it in our new house.
2. Caraway Fry Pan
The Caraway Fry Pan is another popular choice—I was super close to getting this one. It comes in a lot of fun colors like the Always pan but instead, this pan has more of that classic cookware look.
It has a gorgeous stainless steel handle and it’s even oven safe up to 550 degrees. It’s made with a non-toxic ceramic coating to encourage healthy cooking in the kitchen.
This pan is perfect for frying up an egg or sautéing veggies—the possibilities are endless. It also works on all stovetops.
The only downside in my opinion is that it doesn’t come with a lid, which is personally a big deal to me because I find the lid helps with oil splats while cooking.
But other than that, this pan is really great and has amazing reviews as well. Cleaning the pan is also very easy since it has a nice ceramic coating—all you need to do is gently wipe the surface.
So if you’re looking for something that has that classic culinary aesthetic to it, then the Caraway line is perfect for you. I honestly think that the frying is as good as the Always pan it just doesn’t have all the other features.
I also recommend looking into getting the entire cookware set with Caraway to bundle and save money. The bundle honestly is worth it because you’re getting storage, 10.5” Fry Pan, 3 qt Sauce Pan, 4.5 qt Sauté Pan, and a 6.5 qt Dutch Oven.
3. GreenPan Reserve Fry Pan Set, Blush, 8″ & 10″ Inch Ceramic
I’ve also heard really great things about GreenPan and all their cookware. If you couldn’t tell already, I love fun colors and incorporating them into the kitchen as much as I can.
So when I came across this set on Williams Sonoma, I fell in love! I’m obsessed with anything that has gold accents and this pink and gold combo is everything.
The Greenspan’s are some of the first pans to come out with PFOA-free nonstick ceramic cookware. They also have Thermolon, which is a healthy ceramic nonstick coating that is reinforced with diamonds to make it ultra-durable and heat-responsive.
I also love that these are oven and broiler safe up to 600°F. The pans are also super easy to clean since it has a ceramic coating.
I think the best part is that these pans are sold in a set for $99.95, which is such a steal since you’re getting 2 pans. This is the perfect option if you’re looking for something cute like the Always Pan but can only shop on a budget.
4. Greenpan Non Stick Ceramic Frying Pan
This is another Greenpan but this one is 12″ inches, which is way bigger than the set of 2 on Williams Sonoma. It’s made out of aluminum and it has a stainless steel heat resistant handle.
The difference with this frying pan is that it’s made with an exclusive Magneto base that ensures induction efficiency so it performs well on any stovetop.
This pan is also made with a healthy ceramic stick coating and is even metal utensil safe. The coating is made PFAS and PFOA free.
I really appreciate that the Greenspan’s will never warp or wobble over time because it has a duoforged Armored Body that is hard anodized twice.
They recommend handwashing this pan to preserve its life but it is dishwasher safe if you want to put it in the wash.
5. Greenlife Soft Grip Healthy Ceramic Frying Pan
Greenlife is another great option, especially if you have kids. Their ceramic frying pan is made with a heat resistant silicone handle.
They also come in bright and playful colors that are perfect for adding some fun to your kitchen space. It’s made with a healthy ceramic non stick coating like all the other brands.
I was really drawn to the fact that cleaning this pan is so easy. Apparently, you don’t need to soak it at all—just wipe and it’s clean in seconds.
I honestly recommend investing in their 16-piece cookware set because you’re getting all the cooking essentials at the price of $99. Everything is also oven safe up to 350°F.
This is also a really great sustainable option because it’s made from recycled aluminum and its coating creates 60% fewer CO2 emissions during its curing phase than the curing phase for a traditional nonstick pan.
6. Blue Diamond Cookware Family Feast Diamond-Infused Ceramic Nonstick, Frying Pan, 14″ inch
Last but not least, I thought I would include a more affordable option that still works well. This Blue Diamond ceramic pan can be found on Amazon and is one of the biggest sizes I’ve seen—it’s 14″ inches.
It’s metal utensil safe and has a diamond-infused coating that lasts 10x longer than a traditional non stick pan. The diamond also heats up faster and is oven safe up to 600°F.
This pan has all the good stuff you want like being toxin-free and dishwasher safe. The stainless steel handle is heat resistant and very comfortable to hold.
Those were all my favorite ceramic frying pans! I hope this helped narrow down your search if you’ve been deciding between these.
I think you’ll be more than happy if you decide to get any of these. They’re all super cute and fun that will make your kitchen look aesthetic AF.
