Giving our fireplace in the living room a little facelift! I added some fall touches to our fireplace as well as some decor that we’ll keep up throughout the year. It’s giving it a warm, cozy, and inviting vibe! Just in time for some (finally) cooler fall weather in California!
Here’s a look at what I added to upgrade our fireplace:
Round Black Mirror – Love the look of a mirror above the fireplace mantle! This round one comes in a few different finishes and sizes.
Fall Garland – I shared this in my Front Door Fall Decor post, but I love this fall garland! It comes in a set of six 6′ garlands so I was able to use it outside and on my fireplace mantle, and I love that the colors are more neutral rather than right orange and red. I might add some white mini pumpkins to the mantle too.
Tall Floor Vase – I added in a tall floor vase next to the fireplace and cut some pampas grass to put in it. Btw, if you spot some pampas grass and want to cut it yourself, it makes for beautiful home decor but I do have a few important tips! Wear pants, long sleeves, and gloves (fleas and ticks could be in the bushes) and leave the pampas grass outside of your house. Spray it down with Raid to kill any bugs. Then the next day, spray it with hairspray to keep the fluffy parts from falling apart. Then you’re good to go!
Glass Wall Sconce – I’m also eyeing these candle holder wall scones in gold. I feel like they’d be so pretty on either side of the fireplace!
Living Room Rug – We just got this geometric rug for the living room and it looks SO GOOD in front of the fireplace. After we bought it I realized how popular it is—I see it everywhere now on Instagram and in friend’s houses lol. And I get why, it’s SO pretty, comes in a bunch of different colors and sizes, and it’s at a great price point.
