Just three hours north of the bustle of New York City is the total lack of bustle that is Lake George. Known for being incredibly beautiful, this stretch of water is a peaceful place—that Adirondack Mountain air is almost magical.
It’s not about hotels here—it’s all about amazing Airbnbs. And the Airbnb website has a whole ton of different options that make vacationing in this blissful region extra special.
To help you narrow down what’s available, I’ve selected a bunch of my all-time favorites!

Firepit? Check. Cozy fireplace? Check. Full kitchen? Yep. Luxurious deck with hammock and stylish seating? Check. Access to a swimming pool? Also, check. There's a lot about this place that makes it one of the top Lake George vacation rentals.
The location of this house is also pretty awesome. Lake George Village is close by and there's a trolley bus stop right near the property, which makes catching a ride into town a breeze.

Having places like Lake George with all its natural beauty is just one part of what makes staycationing in the United States so cool. So having the opportunity to stay in an amazing Airbnb like this one, which makes full use of its natural surroundings, is a fun way to go.
With windows that let the serene lake do the talking, the interiors of this actual houseboat (extra points for that, obviously) are simple—it's all about the view. It's a great spot to enjoy swimming and soaking it all up from the balconies. And all at a good price too!

This Diamond Point vacation rental is a great choice for those looking for a real mountainside vibe. It's basically a log cabin, with some rustic Adirondack living.
The living room features leather couches, a warm color scheme, log walls, and a moose head on the wall for that extra touch. One of the best things about this place has to be the elaborate outdoor real stone fireplace, which also has a huge grill and a wood-fired pizza oven—I'm totally into that, obviously.
Up to 8 guests // 4 bedrooms // 5 beds // 2 baths. Prices from $450 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
Now for a Lake George cabin with a difference. It's a castle—or at least, it looks like a castle. Either way, it's absolutely insane and I am totally in love with it.
Situated in Bolton Landing, it overlooks Lake George itself, which makes for a beautiful view indeed. But vistas aside, this place is crazy.
Inside, it's also basically a castle. Think spiral staircase, elaborate details, stained glass windows, statues, suits of armor, a huge fireplace. Each bedroom is as royal as you can imagine.
If it's out of budget, there's always the Castle Cottage next door (the owners call it the "mini-castle"). Definitely one of the craziest vacation rentals I've ever seen.
Up to 8 guests // 3 bedrooms // 3 beds // 2.5 baths. Prices from $4581 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
Most definitely not a castle, but a straightforward cute, and cozy vacation rental in Lake George, this place is a charmer. There's plenty of room for all the family in this Airbnb, which features a kitchen, dining area, and living room.
The property also boasts three acres of grounds—great for those who like to be situated in nature and breathe that fresh Adirondack air. But it's also close to everything else, being just a three-minute ride from nearby Bolton Landing.
Up to 8 guests // 4 bedrooms // 5 beds // 2 baths. Prices from $260 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
