Malibu has to be one of the most luxurious places to stay in the United States. Basically a suburb of LA, Malibu is awash with delicious food and a ton of beautiful beaches to enjoy.
Obviously, the best way to properly experience Malibu is with a beach house. If you’re not lucky enough to have access to one of these to call your own, an Airbnb is the definitive way to go here.
There are some truly stunning Malibu Airbnbs out there. Like, actually amazing. So many, in fact, that I decided to do my research and curate my favorites. In no particular order—here they are!
Airbnb Malibu: The Most Incredible Houses to Rent
Ok, so it's not actually in Malibu, but this Santa Monica property is so utterly stunning that I couldn't not include it! Besides, Malibu is a stone's throw from here. And it comes with ocean views!
A historic building over 100 years old, the entire house is beautifully decorated, with period features—like its ornate carved fireplace—remaining alongside mid-century modern furniture and a cool sense of minimalism.
Up to 6 guests // 4 bedrooms // 4 beds // 3.5 baths. Prices from $950 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
If you're looking for a Malibu beach house and you're not feeling something ultra-modern, then you'll love the retro vibes of this Airbnb. The interiors mix beach-y style with chic attention to detail, making it a cool place to be.
Even though it's right on the beach, it's set back and feels private, which is always a good thing. And for more beach action, the epic Zuma Beach is nearby—a true slice of coastal California heritage.
Up to 5 guests // 2 bedrooms // 2 beds // 1 baths. Prices from $893 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
Looking for an Airbnb in Malibu is usually about looking for somewhere that's right on the sea—but sometimes you want to be up in the hills with views, which is where this house comes in.
This gorgeous place is easily one of the best vacation rentals in the area. It's set way up high, and definitely not on the coast, meaning you get all the beauty of inland Malibu, complete with an amazing view.
The decor? Stunning and well-appointed—a luxury home away from home.
Up to 8 guests // 3 bedrooms // 3 beds // 3 baths. Prices from $397 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
This place is super cool. The furnishings are all mid-century modern, with the entire apartment dotted with uber-stylish pieces. All the design elements work properly together and make this Airbnb a real slice of dreamy style.
Easily one of the best properties on the market at the moment, this place also has plenty of house plants and even an awesome green balcony packed with succulents. Combine with ocean views, and yep—it's a real winner for me!
Up to 3 guests // 2 bedrooms // 2 beds // 1 baths. Prices from $199 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
If you're looking to book a romantic beachfront apartment for you and your partner to cozy up in, this place is it. It's honestly one of the cutest vacation rentals for couples in Malibu.
The vibe is laid back, the furniture is chic, and there are some great rustic touches that really exemplify that whole beach house aesthetic. That's not to mention the stunning ocean view, either. A top romantic getaway.
Up to 2 guests // 1 bedrooms // 1 beds // 1 baths. Prices from $482 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
This Carbon Beach guest house is just about as cute as it gets out here. With its whitewashed walls, cozy living room, luxurious bedroom, and glorious ocean views, it's easily one of my favorite Malibu Airbnbs.
And yes, there may only be one-bedroom, but there's enough room in this place for a group of you and your besties. There's even a deck where you can sip evening bubbly as the sun sets or soak up those afternoon rays. This is an awesome find!
Up to 4 guests // 1 bedrooms // 2 beds // 1 baths. Prices from $450 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
Oh em gee, I think I've found the coolest Airbnb in Malibu. I love everything about this place—the shape of the building, the mezzanine bedroom, the fact that basically the whole back of this house is a window looking out onto the sea.
That's without even talking about the decor, which, in its laid-back beachside way, is effortlessly stylish. Sitting in the living room, for example, feels like sitting in an actual photoshoot. And all of it literally on Malibu Beach itself, I mean, does it get better?
Up to 6 guests // 3 bedrooms // 3 beds // 3 baths. Prices from $530 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
This amazing guest suite is definitely pricey, but it's also very cool. You don't see many things on the Airbnb website that cost this much, sure, but if you've got it—why not?
Then again, when a property can fit up to 16 people in its doors and you're sharing the cost with your family or friends, it's not so crazy!
Anyway—it's gorgeous. Minimalist design, chic furniture, ocean views, beach on the doorstep. Everything that makes a beachside property stand out from the rest. It's also within walking distance of Nobu if you're feeling in the mood to really treat yourself.
Up to 16 guests // 5 bedrooms // 10 beds // 4.5 baths. Prices from $3807 per night. Check pricing and dates here.
