How’s your quarantine going? Mine’s been up and down. But there are a few things that have been key for me keeping some kind of semblance of sanity, and those things are:
- Working out virtually with my trainer (highly recommend HIIT School’s virtual workout program—it’s a small group setting over Hangouts and having someone hold you accountable for showing up and putting in the work is a million times more effective (for me) than trying to motivate myself to do a YouTube video workout.
- Getting out of the apartment once every other day for a quick walk or grocery run.
- Reading. A couple weeks ago we were just binging Tiger King and Ozark every night after shutting down our laptops. While those shows are great, it made the entire week feel like the same sh*t, different day. I decided to start mixing it up by reading on some nights and it’s made a big difference for me. It’s been a nice escape to read different kinds of books, anything from self-help to historical fiction books.
Here are my recommendations for six books to read during quarantine. I’ve found inspiration in all of them, and I hope you do too! I’m linking them on Amazon so you can get them on Kindle, Audible, or a hard copy.
