It’s been so awesome to hear your feedback and excitement around the What The Fab relaunch (read more about the relaunch here)! I’ve been working on the redesign and new site since the beginning of the year, and I’m so happy to hear that people are loving it. To celebrate the relaunch, I hosted a little party in San Francisco, in collaboration with Peerspace. Peerspace is essentially like Airbnb for event venues—people can list their space for people to rent out for events, big or small. There are tons of awesome spaces available in San Francisco, and I ended up deciding on this gorgeous showroom right on Market Street for my relaunch party. Liz Dean of Table + Teaspoon (a Rent The Runway of sorts, for table settings), owns this stunning space and with all the elegant touches, gold accents, and of course the living plant wall, I knew it’d be the perfect spot for a What The Fab party!
We had several brands contribute to the party, and they really made the evening a hit. I had several people ask me how I found these brands, and they’re simply all local brands that I’ve become acquainted with through blogging and at other events that I ended up loving! Here’s a little bit about each of them and why they’re so fab:
Cameron Hughes Wine: Cameron Hughes was lovely enough to send a couple cases of wine for the party and no drop was wasted! I’ve written about Cameron Hughes on the blog before, but they do something really interesting where they use grapes that are usually used to create expensive wines, and they create their own blends that are sold at affordable prices. And guess what, they’re delish.
DOUGHP: Omgggg, DOUGHP! People were so stoked to see the DOUGHP cookie dough bar at the event. They brought several different flavors (my fav was Eminem) and all the bloggers were ‘grammin up a storm with their cute cookie dough in waffle cones.
La Mienne: La Mienne is an on-demand beauty services app. They brought their glam squad and did hair and eye makeup for all the gals. They are so talented and I loved seeing everyone getting all glammed up!
Present: Present is a networking app by women, for women, and it’s all about empowering each other! I do a lot of women’s events for Google as well, so when I met some of the marketing gals from Present we immediately hit it off. They also had the idea of hosting a clothing swap, which was super fun, and then any of the items not picked up at the end of the night were donated to Homeless Prenatal.
Sterling Forever: You guys, I freaking love Sterling Forever’s jewelry! They have the prettiest on-trend pieces and they’re also super unique. And like other CZ jewelry that’s sold at affordable prices, they have a lifetime guarantee! I’ve never seen that for jewelry unless it’s luxury, so I think that’s pretty amazing. Sterling Forever did a little pop-up at the event showing off some of their fav pieces, and they also contributed a gorgeous layered necklace and dainty earrings, including their new microhoops to the goodie bags.
sweetgreen: sweetgreen was serving up their delicious and healthy bowls, keeping us all full and happy at the party. I tried their Harvest bowl and it was so freaking yummy! Their SF location is near the MOMA and they have over 70 locations around the U.S. so keep an eye out for them.
The Better Skin Co.: The Better Skin Co. contributed a face cream and mask to the goodie bags, and everyone was so excited to try them out!
Musely: Musely also contributed to the goodie bags with their under eye masks. I was definitely putting those eye masks to use early in preparation for the big event!
Thank you again to everyone who came out last week to celebrate with me! I was blown away by how many people showed up and just all the love and support.
