The girl from Ipanema

Happy Monday! Back at it with another outfit from Rio today. We spent this day lounging on the beaches of Ipanema, where you can rent a couple chairs and an umbrella and munch on delicious açaí bowls all day long. The one thing you can’t do is go in the water because it’s so polluted, which is really unfortunate and sad. But we still enjoyed soaking up the beautiful views and admiring the jutting mountainsides along the coast (in these photos Morro Dois Irmãos is behind me).

Omied kept trying to convince me to buy and wear one of the teeny Brazilian bikinis that basically look like thongs and are really popular in Rio. I held one up and was like, “Why is the backside smaller than the frontside??” I told him I’d do it if he wore the small, boxer-style swim trunks the Brazilian dudes were sporting, which put an end to the conversation pretty quick. 😉
