When it comes to Palm Springs luxury hotels, The Ritz-Carlton Resort & Spa Rancho Mirage is by far the most popular luxury hotel to stay at while vacationing in Palm Springs. They offer picturesque views of Palm Desert and Coachella Valley with world-class celebrity treatment for all guests.
The rooms are spacious with some suites even having their own private spa or balcony views of the Santa Rosa Mountain Range. The entire resort was designed using natural elements to match the desert aesthetic—everything is very aesthetically pleasing.
Enjoy taking advantage of the 3 pools, spa, fitness center, golf courses, and on-site dining. They offer 2 different restaurants, the State Fare Bar & Kitchen and The Edge Steakhouse.
The State Fare Bar offers an interactive chef’s experience with a market table featuring wines, charcuterie, artisanal bread, and panoramic views. While The Edge Steakhouse serves traditional American-style cuisine with cliff-side dining.

This luxury hotel has a crazy history of being the celebrity destination spot in the 50s and 60s—Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable, and several U.S. Presidents all stayed here.
There are 25 bungalows that have their own patios and outdoor showers to create a personalized private oasis. All of the bungalows are decorated with a vintage and modern feel.
Treat yourself to a luxurious indoor/outdoor massage and spa treatment during your stay. When you’re done head on over to the pool to get your tan on.
When you’re feeling up for it, take advantage of the bicycles that are free to use and explore everything the desert has to offer.
Enjoy having a meal at SO-PA for an alfresco dining experience where they serve eclectic dishes with a farm-to-table vibe. I highly recommend having dinner here to enjoy cocktails around the fire pit.
3. Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs Hotel
Stay in the heart of Downtown Palm Springs at the Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs Hotel. With views of the mountains from the rooftop pool and sun terrace, you’ll fall in love with this resort.
You’ll also get to enjoy sipping on fresh cocktails from the rooftop bar and restaurant 4 Saints. Have a sharable luxurious meal made with seasonal ingredients to make Mediterranean-style cuisine.
You can also have fun at their daily evening social from 5-6 pm or join the sunrise coffee service. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated.
You can even book an in-room spa service to stay comfortable in your own space—perfect after a long day of hiking and exploring the desert.
4. JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa
The JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort is another incredible place to stay. You’ll have the option to pick between 5 different pools, 2 championship golf courses, tennis courts, a fitness center, a spa, and delicious on-site restaurants.
You can even take a gondola tour along the waterways throughout the resort—it’s like you’re in Italy but in the desert.
The rooms are nice and spacious with plenty of options to accommodate even if you’re traveling with a large group. Most of the rooms have a stunning view of the pools and gardens.
When you’re not out exploring the city of Palm Springs, I recommend spending some time in the spa trying out all of their special treatments to help you relax.
Make a stop at 5 of their restaurants for fine dining—the reviews at all of them are amazing. First, try the Rockwood Grill for a Californian-style cuisine and beautiful water views as you eat.
Then, try Mikado Japanese Steakhouse for authentic Japanese dishes made with fresh ingredients. If you love Japanese food then you’re also going to love Aquifer65 where they have a sushi bar.
For more seafood, you can also try the dishes at Fisherman’s Landing where they serve freshly caught fish. Make sure you try the dessert here too since it’s award-winning.
Lastly, hang out at the Blue Star Lounge for dinner and cocktails on their outdoor patio with fire pits. They offer American-style cuisine.
5. ARRIVE Palm Springs
ARRIVE is a super cute luxury hotel that has aesthetic architecture that incorporates a mix between LA and desert vibes. It’s located a mile away from downtown Palm Springs making all the tourist attractions a short drive.
During your stay, enjoy the pool, lounge, firepits, bar, and bikes. There’s even an ice cream shop on-site to satisfy any sweet cravings.
If you’re a big coffee lover, you’re going to love the Cartel Coffee Lab where they serve delicious espressos and coffee drinks.
Although they don’t have a restaurant at the hotel, you’re a short walk or drive away from delicious restaurants in town. It’s recommended to try EIGHT4NINE Restaurant & Lounge, Rick’s Desert Grill, and Trio.
6. La Quinta Resort & Club
I don’t think anything can top La Quinta Resort and its 41 climate-controlled pools, 53 hot tubs, 5 championship golf courses, and 23 tennis courts offered on-site. This resort is like Disneyland with all of the amenities they offer.
And yes, it’s where Claire/Tayshia’s season of The Bachelorette was filmed, lol.
This resort is massive and offers a number of different room and suite options. You can even book one of the Spanish-style casitas that offer a private patio and hot tub—be sure took check prices and which ones are available during your visit.
If you feel like treating yourself, you can book a yoga retreat, take a fitness class, play tennis, rent a bicycle, or plan a hike. I highly recommend booking a massage or facial at the La Quinta Spa to achieve ultimate relaxation.
When you’re ready to eat, explore the many restaurants they offer to match your cravings. For casual dining, check out Adobe Grill or Twenty6.
At Adobe Grill, they offer authentic Mexican food and over 100 different tequilas to mix into a cocktail—be sure to order their award-winning tamales. At Twenty6, you can enjoy classic American-style comfort food made with locally sourced ingredients and a seasonal menu.
For fine dining, you have to try Morgan’s in the Desert! This is La Quinta’s signature restaurant where they serve contemporary-style American food inspired by Coachella Valley—definitely try their delicious post-dinner cocktails.

While Indian Wells is just outside of Palm Springs, the Hyatt Regency definitely makes the list of luxury resorts in the area. With 530 rooms to choose from, you’ll find the perfect place to stay and even get a private balcony view.
With a brand new water park, lazy river, and splash pad the Hyatt is a great option if you’re traveling with a family. You can also use the complimentary bikes and scooters to explore the 45 acres of the resort.
In your free time, you can take a quick drive to some nearby attractions like El Paseo for shopping, the Desert Hill Premium Outlets for discounted shopping, the Palm Springs Art Museum, or Joshua Tree.

If you love golfing, you’ll be happy to know that there’s a huge golf resort on-site to hit a few holes and enjoy taking things slow.
