One of the (many) things I love about living in San Francisco is that if you need to get out of the city, there are so many options close by. The ocean isn’t far, and there are lots of pretty trails and national parks a stone’s throw away. In this case, my boyfriend and I only had to travel 15 minutes for a beautiful hike up Mt. Davidson. It was a bit of a gloomy day in SF, but it made the forest and the giant cross at the top of the mountain even more mysterious. You can see the fog rolling in in a lot of these photos. If you live in SF and haven’t done this hike yet, I’d recommend it. It’s about an hour round trip and pretty easy. Just watch out for poison oak in some of the less tamed areas!
