If you were lucky enough to have a long weekend, I hope it was a great one! I’m currently on the flight home from a little tour of The South, where I spent the last week. I joined a few other bloggers to visit New Orleans with their tourism board, and then hopped over to Austin, Texas for a joint bachelor/bachelorette party for some of our friends. It was my first time in both cities and I can’t wait to share photos!

We’ve made a lot of progress as far as wedding planning goes over the last month, and right now I’m narrowing down choices for bridesmaid dresses. While I’m making that decision, I thought I’d share some bridesmaid style from my best friend Kimmy’s wedding last year. I was so excited to be her Maid of Honor! From the bachelorette (remember the 50 Shades of Grey bachelorette party we threw for her?), to the shower in Boston, to the teary-eyed speech (my tips for the perfect MOH speech are on mywedding.com), I had an absolute blast being a part of her special day and all the prep involved before the big day. The wedding was beautiful and the Irish-inspired ceremony was so special. The bridal party and bride have all been friends since high school (where we coined the name Fab Five, which Kimmy had sewn into our clutches), and for some reason I’ve always known that Kim would be the first of us to get married. So happy for the beautiful couple!

Thanks! I think green is really flattering on all skin tones, so it was a great pick for our bridesmaid dresses. :)
