I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! I still have today off (praise Google), so I’m just blogging away today, and fitting in a much needed HIIT workout after all of the indulging I participated in this Fourth of July weekend. Over the weekend, Omied and I went on a little date night in Potrero Hill. I used to work in this neighborhood when I first moved to the city, and I loved its charm and the adorable shops and delicious restaurants there. Omied mentioned that he’d noticed a little community garden atop one of Potrero’s many Hills, so we stopped for a stroll before dinner.
For our date night, I decided to start with a new perfume gracing my vanity, the newest fragrance in the Vera Wang Embrace, Marigold and Gardenia, and let that inspire my outfit. It was a refreshing reversal from my usual routine where I pick my outfit and then haphazardly spritz on a perfume at the end before running out the door. And the fragrance draws inspiration from celebrating intimate moments meant to be cherished, just as a date night with my hubby should be. This particular fragrance has a pretty, soft peach hue to it, so I knew I wanted to incorporate a warm color palette into my outfit. The dreamy fruity and floral scent went perfectly with the whimsical floral lace of this Alexis dress that I’d been waiting for an opportunity to wear. The fragrance smelled very sweet and pretty to me, which is just how I felt wearing it out with Omied.
