I hope everyone is having an amazing summer so far! Being a San Francisco resident, summer is the one season that seems to slip away from me if I stay in the city. While the temperature does warm up a bit, Karl the fog tends to roll in at some point during the day, and before I know it everyone is putting away their swimsuits and getting their fall boots out. And around that time is when it finally starts to warm up in SF and we can all wear shorts for a week or two.
Fortunately, living in SF also means that we’re just a stone’s throw away from warmer weather, and beaches where people wear swimsuits, or pretty cover-ups like this one from the Caribbean (instead of sweaters and blankets). On this particular weekend, we stopped at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz and enjoyed a relaxing day on the beach with family. For lounge-y, outdoorsy days, I love making spritzers. Sometimes they turn out better than others, because I usually just grab whatever we have lying on our bar cart that sounds spritzer-esque and appetizing (White wine? Sure. Lemonade and club soda? Why not?). So this time I was excited to bring Palm Breeze spritzers, in the delicious flavor of Pineapple Mandarin Orange. Oh em gee these were yummy and so refreshing and perfect for a day at the beach. They’re the perfect grab-and-go drink for a fun day with friends (I know where I’m bringing them next) and they also have a Ruby Red Citrus flavor that I can’t wait to try next. Have you guys tried these yet, or do you have your own spritzer recipe? Do share!
