This is my last outfit post from our Chicago trip, and probably my fav because of this gorgeous lace Alexis top. We spent the afternoon strolling around Chicago and visiting the Museum of Contemporary Art. Afterwards we headed over to Petit Margeaux for a little afternoon pick-me-up. This adorable cafe is located in the Waldorf Astoria, right next to the restaurant Margeaux Brasserie, both owned by Michael Mina. We had some seriously decadent foie gras along with their delicious jambon bayonne. Both were delightful, as was the salted caramel latte I was sipping on. After our late afternoon snack, we made our way over to the Riverwalk and sat outside by the water. When it started to sprinkle we noticed most people running in doors, and we both thought, “What’s the big deal? It’s just a light sprinkle! Bunch of pansies.” Within seconds a downpour started and we hightailed it under an awning. Like a bunch of Chicago newbs, we were totally unprepared with no umbrella and definitely not rain-appropriate shoes. Even with the torrential downpour (ok, that was dramatic, but it was raining hard!), we loved spending the afternoon exploring Chicago.
