Lately, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect Thanksgiving sweater dress, and today I’m sharing six of my favorites—all under $50 from Amazon! I very strongly believe that your Thanksgiving outfit shouldn’t involve anything with zippers or buttons.
Cute but comfy is the name of the game for Thanksgiving because I want to be able to enjoy all the Thanksgiving food. To me, the perfect Thanksgiving outfit is a cozy sweater dress—leaving my waist and tummy totally unrestricted.
Now that Halloween is over and November has arrived, it’s that time of year when everyone has Thanksgiving on their minds, and I’ve been getting some DMs on Instagram asking about outfit ideas for Thanksgiving.
So for this post, I decided to focus solely on sweater dresses available on Amazon, because Amazon Fashion has been killing it lately in the cute but affordable department!
All of these dresses are under $50, and most are in the $25 – $35 range. I included sizing and fit notes for you for each dress, and you can click the photos or links to view them on Amazon and shop!
Six Thanksgiving Sweater Dresses under $50
1. Sweater Dress with Front Knot Tie – $36
I love this casual and cute cream sweater dress with a front knot tie. It’s very comfortable, and the front tie helps give your waist some definition, and also hides your tummy when you’re going ham on that third helping of stuffing!
This sweater dress also comes in black and a really pretty emerald green color and runs true to size. I paired it with my grey over-the-knee boots and I really love this Thanksgiving outfit!
2. Fit-and-Flare Knit Sweater Dress – $50
This fit-and-flare knit sweater dress is SO cute and flattering. It’s very soft and stretchy, and the fit-and-flare style is a really nice silhouette.
The tie around the waist is made of the same material and is really stretchy, so it’s comfortable while giving your waist some definition. I picked this red-orange color because I thought it was perfect for fall, but this sweater dress also comes in black, grey, pink, teal, and tan.
I paired it with some snakeskin ankle booties, but it would also look really pretty with a pair of heels. Based on the size chart, I sized up one from my normal size, and I’m glad I did because the bust/top was very fitted and I think my normal size would have been too snug for this dress.
3. Casual Sweater Dress – $28
I loooove this sweater dress! First of all, it’s 28 bucks.
The lining on the inside is so soft and warm, and it’s just a really cozy/casual look. While I love the olive green color, it also comes in black, navy, grey, bright red, and wine red—all of which would be great for a Thanksgiving sweater dress.
I would recommend going a size up from your usual size for this dress. I’m wearing a medium in this pic and it fits, but I’d like it to be a little looser and longer for a more cozy look.
I paired this casual sweater dress with some suede knee-high boots.
4. Puff Sleeve Sweater Dress – $30
I think this sweater dress might be my favorite, and the one I’m planning on wearing for Thanksgiving. Based on the size chart, I ordered up one size from my usual, and I’m glad I did—sizing up from my usual 8 to a 10 fit perfectly and had just the right amount of cling vs comfy/looseness I was looking for.
I think this is my favorite Thanksgiving sweater dress because of all the details—the puff sleeves are super cute and the knit detailing makes it look wayyyy more expensive than $30!
I love this camel color, and it also comes in off-white and grey.
5. Knit Sweater Midi Dress – $36
This sweater dress is really cute, but it is definitely the tightest and most form-fitting on the list.
It’s still very comfortable because of how stretchy it is, but I just wanted to let you know in case you’re looking for something looser in a Thanksgiving sweater dress!
It’s also super soft, and I love the knit detailing. It comes in a ton of other neutral colors too!
6. Leopard Print Oversized Pullover – $32
Last but certainly not least, this olive green leopard print pullover! I love this one too and just think it’s so cute.
I can’t help but love leopard print for fall. It’s oversized and comfortable, and I took my normal size.
This one comes in a brown and light tan color as well. I love it paired with some heeled ankle booties!
I hope you all loved this review of some cute thanksgiving dresses. If you decide to wear any of these thanksgiving outfits or have some more thanksgiving outfit ideas, definitely tag me on Insta @wtfab so I can see your fit.
