Spring is in the air, and that means summer is not too far away! We’ve got a trip to Mexico planned and also a ton of weddings coming up. The last couple months I’ve been focusing on taking care of my body and getting fit so I can look and feel great for all our upcoming summer fun. Here’s how I’ve been getting in shape and staying motivated…
New swimsuit and dresses
Since we have some special occasions coming up, I’ve picked out some new dresses for the weddings and I’ve also got my eye on some new swimsuits for our trip. It helps me stay motivated and excited about getting fit. Which one would you choose? Help! I love them all.
Low-cal options
I’ve swapped out a lot of every day foods for low-cal options. Non-fat milk for 2%, stevia for sugar in my coffee, zucchini pasta for regular pasta. When I’m craving a sweet drink, instead of reaching for sugary juices I’ve been enjoying 7up Ten, which has just 10 calories per serving.
The Four Ten Calorie DPSG products include low-cal, full flavored versions of all your old favorites: 7UP, Sunkist, A&W and Canada Dry. You can find them at Walmart and they even have a coupon on their site (while supplies last). Enjoy!
Mixing up the exercise routine
Obviously exercise is going to be one of the keys to getting fit. But this year I’ve been focusing on mixing up my exercise routine so I stay engaged and don’t get bored. I’ve been taking advantage of all the workout classes at Google, and focus on going to the ones I like best. Barre method, cardio, kick boxing, weight lifting, spin, and TRX make up my weekday workouts and I haven’t gotten bored yet.
What fun plans are you making for summer? And how are you getting in shape/staying motivated?
