The Jade Room in Santa Rosa
Santa Rosa’s downtown area can feel a little sleepy at times, but with the opening of The Jade Room, Sunday brunch is not one of those times. The Jade Room is an adorable and relatively new wine bar & oysterette (is “oysterette” not the cutest word ever?) that opened last year in early 2018. The food menu features oysters (duh), charcuterie, and shareable plates, and the drinks menu covers wine, beer, and (my personal favorite) champagne cocktails. And as you can see by the photos, The Jade Room is gorgeous and the interior design is on point. From the flamingo wallpapered bathrooms to the “Poppin Bottles” neon sign, instagrammable moments are everywhere you look.
A little funny story…I randomly met Andrea, the owner, at Hog Island after our stay at Nick’s Cove last year. Andrea’s family and my family had tables next to each other, and our dads bonded over their love of uni (sea urchin), which my dad likes to bring when we go to hog island to place on top of grilled oysters. It’s ridiculously delicious, and my dad shared one with Andrea’s dad, and her dad gave my dad a grilled lamb chop. Adorable, right? Something about being by the bay on a beautiful day eating fresh oysters brings out the best in people. Anyways, Andrea and I got to talking and I found out that she is the proprietor of Sift, one of my favorite cupcake/dessert bars in the city! She mentioned that she was opening a wine bar in Santa Rosa, and it was so fun to come in and see the gorgeous space in person. It turned out beautifully and is such a fun spot in downtown Santa Rosa.
The Jade Room is open:
Wednesday: 330-930PM
Thursday: 330-930PM
FriYay: 3PM-12AM
Saturday: 3PM-12AM
They have Champagne Brunch Sunday 10AM-4PM and Happy Hour Wed-Fri until 6pm. It’s the perfect spot for a date night or going out with friends, and its undeniably cool vibes make for a really fun atmosphere. Definitely add this to your list of places to check out if you’re in Santa Rosa!
