Today we’re taking a little peek into my home workspace! I’m trying to be better about not blogging from the couch (or worse, the bed!) all the time and I used this post as a motivator to get our desk cleaned up so I can use it more for blogging.
Like most Pinterest addicts, I love organizing and I love color, so I picked up a couple different packs of Sharpies from Staples to help with the workspace update. I love using a giant desk calendar to manage my blog’s editorial calendar, but I usually use a drab grey pencil. How boring! This month I spiced things up with some color and I love the results. I used different colored Sharpies to color-code all the categories I blog about and used the corresponding colors for the titles of this month’s posts. If you’re worried about the permanency of using Sharpies on your edit cal, you could also do this on sticky notes and move post titles around as needed.
I also swapped the usual blue ball point pen out for colorful Sharpies when writing out my To-Do list for the weekend. It’s much more cheery than a standard list, don’t you think?
