I’ve been wanting to try a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) delivery service for a while, and so I was really excited to be able to try out Farm Fresh To You and receive a box of beautiful produce delivered right to my door! This box was chock full of goodies, as you’ll see in the photos below, and it was great to be able to pick and choose online exactly what produce I wanted to have delivered. I love that the folks who started Farm Fresh To You are fellow UC Davis alum (Go Aggies!), and I can just picture them sharing their produce, knowledge, and love for their family farm and healthy foods at the Davis farmers markets and community events. You can read more about their story and their family farm (that was founded in 1976!), as well as how Farm Fresh To You works, on their website.
The selection felt decidedly fall. Mixed in with the greens were apples, different types of pears, persimmons, squash, zucchini and carrots. I made a super easy fall dessert with the persimmons: Slice the persimmons, put them in a baking pan and add some butter on top of the slices. Bake them in the oven at 350F for about 20 minutes. The result is a really yummy, fall treat.
I tossed the squash, zucchini and carrots with olive oil, salt and pepper, and roasted them in the oven at 350F for about 20 minutes until they got a little golden. The resulting fall medley was delicious!
We loved everything in our produce box—seriously delish. I’m officially so into this whole having organic produce delivered to your home thing, and if you’d like to try it, you can check to see if Farm Fresh To You delivers to your area as well!
Thanks to Farm Fresh To You for sponsoring this post! And thanks to you, lovely reader, for supporting the brands that support WTFab!
