My parents are sending out a holiday card with a family photo from the wedding, and our thank you cards (which we’re still working on! eek.) also have a photo of the two of us from our wedding on it. So I thought it would be nice to use a photo from our honeymoon on our holiday card to mix things up a bit. Unfortunately we don’t have a ton of high-res photos from the honeymoon because we’re really protective of our DSLR (and when we do hand it over to people to take a picture of us, they usually don’t know how to use it and it turns out blurry), so most of the photos of the two of us were taken with a good ol’ selfie stick and an iPhone. But I’m so glad that we decided to set up our tripod to take this photo of us hanging out on our balcony in Nice. We still can’t get over this view, and it was so magical it seemed like a great fit for our holiday card. Plus I liked how the pop of blue Mediterranean Sea added a little contrast, and the green trees tied it all together with the sparkly Christmas tree header. And I liked how the header reads “Happiest Holiday,” and our honeymoon literally was the happiest holiday. It just works!
