I think I’ve finally thawed out from the frigid cold that was New York a couple weekends ago. I was there for a little over a week for a work event, and stayed for my first New York Fashion Week (I’ll do a post on the shows later!), and Omied met me out there for the long Valentine’s Day weekend.
I’m pretty sure that everyone in New York who was saying, “Ohh we’ve had such a warm winter! It’s so unusual but lovely!” was just lying to me. I was pretty bundled up in this outfit and yet still felt like I was standing outside in my birthday suit. And this outfit was shot before it really dropped to low temperatures. On Omied’s first day in NYC (ever!) we went over to Brooklyn and explored a bit before walking over the Brooklyn Bridge. It was freezing, but we held each other close to keep warm and when we got to the Manhattan side of the bridge and ducked into a random pizza place to warm up and share a hot slice of thin crust pepperoni, it was the best feeling ever.
