We finally had a break in the rain and a sun shiny Saturday, so I pulled out this super cute and comfortable jumpsuit that I got on sale at Uniqlo for $20 (yes, twenty!) that I’ve been waiting to wear. It’s a three day weekend for me and while I have a ton on my to-do list (so much to do before I leave for Europe in a couple weeks!) I’m looking forward to getting in some relaxation and making an effort to squeeze in a couple things to take care of myself, like a yoga session. Omied has recently gotten into doing yoga once a week after he read in a Men’s Fitness article how important it is for guys to stay flexible as they get older, so he’s been encouraging me to do it with him…and it cracks me up that I kinda hate yoga but my husband is the one getting me to get my yoga on with him once a week.
The other thing I’m doing this weekend is refreshing my skincare routine. Flights dry out my skin like no other (all that recirculated air blowing on your face…bleh) and I’m about to be hopping on a lot of them over the next couple months. Clarins recently sent me their newly launched Super-Quenching duo, along with a study they did about “thermic shocks.” It’s the idea that we are subjected to sudden shifts in temperate and humidity many times every day (think about walking from the freezing cold air onto the hot as heck subway), and each time it affects our skin’s hydration. The Hydra-Essentiel Bi-Phase Serum and Silky Cream work to combat this and help your skin retain its moisture. Both of these products smell and feel amazing and I’m really looking forward to incorporating them into my beauty routine. I’ve been using the serum the last few nights and I love how it feels on my skin.
I’d love to know, how do you keep your skin hydrated on long flights? Have you tried Clarins’ new Hydra-Essentiel duo?

Long flights are definitely damaging to the whole body in general! I've never tried Clarins, but I must try this product and see for myself :) xx
