Refinery 29 recently brought its famous 29 Rooms to San Francisco for a couple weeks, and you know any time there are ‘grammable moments, I’m down to check it out. I’ve also been to the Museum of Ice Cream and The Color Factory, but the thing that I really liked about 29 Rooms was that each of the rooms was a collaboration with a different artist. My favorite was the room in collaboration with the Women’s March, where you could write and mail postcards to your representatives. I also loved Jake Gyllenhaal’s room (random, I know), where you could write down your biggest fear, shred it in a paper shredder, and watch the room fill up with everyone’s shredded fears. The Future is Female boxing room was also pretty bad-ass. If you’re based in Chicago, you may be in luck! 29 Rooms is coming to Chicago July 26th – 29th. While tickets are currently sold out, it’s worth signing up for their waitlist in case they open up more dates/tickets, because that’s exactly what happened at their San Francisco pop-up.
