My husband and I welcomed our baby boy into the world three weeks ago, and it’s been a wild ride. Adjusting to life as Mom and Dad has been challenging, and at the same time, we’re just so in love with him.
There are several handy baby items we’ve been using daily that have made our lives easier as first-time parents. If you’re a new mom or mom-to-be, you have to check out my top baby picks available at Walmart—they’re lifesavers!
The first MVP item on my must-have list is the Baby Brezza Bottle Sterilizer and Dryer. I never knew how frequently you clean and sterilize baby bottles, breast pumps, and other feeding accessories. Instead of boiling water multiple times daily, I can pop everything into the sterilizer, push a button, and voila!

Baby Boy has been loving Dr. Brown’s Options+ Anti-Colic Baby Bottle. We’ve tried several bottle brands, and he prefers this one at this newborn stage. The design mimics natural breastfeeding, and the green thing inside the bottle helps prevent colic.
We’re all obsessed with the Hatch Rest Go, a portable sound machine with ten options. The white noise puts him to sleep, and we’ve been using it since day one in the hospital. I bring the Rest Go with me everywhere in the house for the calming vibes.
I can’t imagine trimming our baby’s nails without the Frida Baby Electric Nail File and Buffer. I’d be scared to accidentally cut his nails too short because he’s so squirmy! Thankfully, the buffer is gentle and easy to use, which takes the stress out of nail trimming.
We have the Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor and have loved it. Its minimalistic design looks chic in his nursery. We can check in on him throughout the house using our phones and tablets so we always have peace of mind. The video quality is fantastic, and setting it up was very straightforward.
The SNOO Happiest Baby Bassinet is an essential baby item. It instantly soothes our baby when he’s getting fussy and can’t seem to calm down and go to sleep. New parents need all the sleep they can get, and we know we can catch up on rest when our baby is napping in his bassinet. Plus, it looks super sleek!
I highly recommend the UPPAbaby Vista V2 Stroller. It’s incredibly smooth and comfortable for our baby. We took it out on a family walk, and he loved riding in it. I also added a cup holder attachment, which has been helpful. I’m trying to stay hydrated, so having a hands-free water bottle holder is crucial on neighborhood walks.
My husband and I feel like we’re finally getting into the groove as parents. Entering this next chapter of life hasn’t been easy, but these Walmart baby essentials have made an enormous difference. Check out Walmart’s impressive selection of baby must-haves, whether you’re a first or fifth-time mom or looking for a gift for new parents!
Huge thanks to Walmart for sponsoring this post.
