Oh, how I love a good high-low designer collaboration! This Sunday, February 9th, Target launches its designer collection with Peter Pilotto, and the looks are absolutely to die for. I love the geometric shapes and patterns, combined with bold colors and florals. Love, love, love! As we all know, Target’s designer collabs can be a bit of a sh*t storm. I remember stopping by our City Target the day after the Philip Lim collection was released, and saw a sad, picked over scene with a lone sweater hanging by one shoulder on a hanger.
This year, I’ve done my research and I’m opting for the online route to get my hands on some of these gorgeous pieces. I’ve signed up for Target’s email newsletter, so I’ll get updates on Pilotto. And for the first time ever, Target is partnering with Net-a-Porter, and some of the Pilotto pieces will also be available there. So clearly, my online accounts for both are primed with credit card and shipping info at the ready, and I’m ready to snag me some Peter Pilotto! In case you’re curious (like I was), you can see some of Peter Pilotto’s normally priced pieces on Net-a-porter—averaging around $1,000. Let’s just say the $30 – $40 (with the most expensive item at $80) Target collab’s price range is a little more realistic for me.
Here are a few of the pieces that I have my eye on (you can also browse the full collection in all its glory, here)…
Lots of luck to those of us shopping the collection online at Target and Net-a-Porter! As of right now there’s no telling what time the collection will drop online on the 9th. It could be midnight, it could be 3am. The anticipation is killing me!

I'm not sure about this collection. It looks great on the models but I'm unsure how it'll look on me with all the bold print/colors.

Ooh good to know! So excited to shop the collection online.
I think some of the pieces are a little more "out there," but some of the pieces like the blazer are more simple and classic. And then some of the bold pieces like the red jacquard dress are just killer!
