Here’s the outfit I wore for the first day of WWDMagic in Vegas. The first day was a tad overwhelming, but fun, meeting with lots of brands, other bloggers and PR people.
The teal hair fascinator is from Young Designers Collective, a group that designs for non-profit organizations to promote good will and also gain exposure as artists. The ribbon fascinator I’m wearing is part of one of YDC’s founding designers, Shilpa Iyengar’s Pink Ribbon Collection, inspired by the fight against breast cancer. Iyengar also crafts a variety of hats with these different colored fascinators on them, and for each one that is sold, a percentage goes to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. While I was at MAGIC, I had several people ask where I got mine from, so it was nice to be able to spread the word for a lovely designer and great cause.
