It’s really true, there’s no place like home for the holidays! This Thanksgiving was even more fun and special than usual, because it was the first Thanksgiving in years that my sister was home for, since she’s been living on the east coast for the last four years and finally moved back to California at the beginning of the year. My sister and I are two peas in a pod when we’re together—finishing each other’s sentences and laughing about inside jokes. This year, I brought some bottles of Cavit Wine for us and the whole family to enjoy while catching up and spending time together.
I thought Cavit Wine would be the perfect collection to share with my family this Thanksgiving because their wines are grown in Italy, and my family is heading on a trip to Italy next year! Cavit has championed their Pinot Grigio in the States since the 70’s, when it was a little-known varietal. With its crisp fruit flavors and delicate floral aroma, it’s a very food-friendly wine, although a difficult grape to cultivate. But Pinot Grigio has flourished in northern Italy, for over a century.
It was so fun to share Cavit Wine and their Pinot Grigio with my family. My sister and I took a bottle on a walk with us and enjoyed a glass during a crisp fall evening, and later that night shared a bottle with our family over some delicious food and excited chatter about our upcoming Italy trip!
