Gary Farrell + Valette Lunch Pairing in Healdsburg

We recently had the pleasure of attending an incredible food and wine pairing in Healdsburg, hosted at Valette.

Chef Dustin Valette created a gorgeous custom lunch menu to be paired with a few select wines from Gary Farrell Vineyards, including a couple of their delicious Chardonnays and of course, Pinot Noirs—because what’s a Russian River tasting without Chards and Pinots??

Gary Farrell’s Chardonnays come from three iconic Russian River Valley vineyards: Rochioli, Allen and Westside Farms.

Their Pinot Noirs’ bright red fruit aromas and black cherry flavors paired perfectly with charcuterie and dishes like duck confit.

While I loved their Chardonnays and Pinots, I was excited to try a couple different varietals that you don’t see quite as frequently in Healdsburg, like their Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel, both of which I loved.

Zin is usually my favorite as I love a big, bold red, especially with food.

Gary Farrell also shared a couple recipes with us that would pair perfectly with their Pinots, including a Root-a-touille and a salmon recipe.
