I’m so excited to share today’s outfit post! It’s got a little more ethnic flair than usual, no? 😉 When my dear friend Raj from grad school got engaged a year ago my first thought was (of course) how excited I was for her. My second? “Omg this is going to make an awesome outfit post!” When I found out that it’s customary at an Indian wedding to wear one outfit for the ceremony and change into another one for the reception, I was even more pumped. The wedding was amazing, the bride and groom looked incredible, and I ate enough butter chicken to feed a small village.
I also wanted to say a huge thank you to my lovely coworker and friend Sapna. When she heard I was going to an Indian wedding she got so excited for me that she brought me bags and bags of her beautiful jewelry from India so that I could play dress up in them. And she even gave me the beautiful black shoes that I’m wearing in the first outfit!

This is such a fantastic outfit post! A friend of mine is attending an Indian wedding soon and, whilst shopping with her, I became so jealous because I would have LOVED an excuse to dress up in something so colorful and festive!
